VPN connection

I have a Netgear router with two satellites connected to my 5G Gateway router. I can connect to my VPN but cannot access network files. VPN help desk says it’s a problem with my ISP. When I connect through Verizon I have no problem accessing files. I REALLY don’t want to go back to Verizon!
