Streaming network stations on TV

We have TMobile for our phones and internet access and have no problems or delays with our two cell phones or laptop. However, there are frequent interruptions when watching or recording programs on network TV. We subscribe to Hulu for both movie streaming (of which we have no problems) and network stations. Is the hotspot that TMobile offers for $3.75 a month for 24 months useful for improving connections for streaming TV or primarily for cell phone coverage?

  • For Hulu Live TV issue, does anyone know if you go into the mesh router settings and mess with the static Ip option does that help. Externally contacting the Hulu server is showing dynamic IPs but is there anyway to help control that?

  • Yeah I’ve had to reset with Hulu the location twice this week but they keep giving ideas on how to fix it. Since I understand the overall IP structure now and how it works, unless T-Mobile starts giving out Static IP addresses, Hulu will always be a hit or miss when IP gets reset like a power outage. There really is no work around on this issue. I may have to go back to comcast if I have to call them a third time.

I have T-Mobile internet. As of recently, I’m unable to watch streaming news shows like CNN, etc. When I open the apps on my Roku TV, I’m prompted to choose my internet carrier, but TMobile isn’t listed. If I try to watch a news station, it plays for a few seconds then my tv powers off. Is this a T-Mobile internet issue? Are they not paying for syndicated news stations? Seems to be the case.

To stream CNN, you need a “cable replacement” package such as YouTube TV or Sling. CNN International, with many of the same shows, is included with Max. The standalone CNN app is for those who pay for CNN through another service, typically as part of a cable TV subscription.

Hulu + Live TV has been problematic with T-Mobile Home Internet.
