DNS Server

How do I find the DNS server address for my 5G Gateway?

    You can't change DNS on the gateway. DNS changes have to be entered on the client itself, e.g., your computer’s network settings. Full disclosure, I'm on a Mac. I've discovered that putting the gateway first (192.168.12.1) works best, followed with OpenDNS’ servers (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220).

    The gateway typically runs a caching DNS server at it’s IP address (192.168.12.1) that will save frequently used addresses. After that it uses an address configured by T-Mobile. You can override this on the client as described above...
