Options using non-T-Mobile modems for home internet

I just signed up for the basic home internet service and it seems to be working fine.

But I'm not happy with the modem they provided, the Sagemcom Fast 5688W Gateway because there is virtually no administration/configuration access.  The main thing I'd like to do is turn off the WiFi radios, but it'd also be useful to be able to change the broadcast channels and create a list of approved MAC addresses.  (I already have a mesh router system which I'd like to use for WiFi instead.)

Are there devices on the market I can buy which would work with the T-Mobile service and give me more control?

Just as a point of reference, my only other experience has been with the Arris products used by AT&T.  They provide extensive options for configuring, including the option to turn off the radios.

Thanks.

I just joined T-Mobile using the 5G internet and we moved two cell phones over as well.  With all my previous ISP's I had the ability to "manage" my own intranet.  I was able to setup the DHCP pool and be able to assign static IP addresses outside the range of the assigned pool, eliminating addressing conflicts.  With this new "white" router, I cannot see or change any network settings on my side of the router.  If ANYONE knows how to do this please share your knowledge.
