Mobile hotspot connects but no internet

I bought an offbrand mobile hotspot device with a T-Mobile access SIM card. I could not get connected so I went to a T-Mobile store where he said I had the SIM card inserted incorrectly. He fixed it and I was able to make connection. But I think the connection is incomplete now I am getting connected, but it says no Internet
