  • Since you posted that your issue is occurring after updates are happening, try power cycling and restarting your modem gateway first. Reason being is because your modem may need to apply any system updates that it receives from T-Mobile's authentication servers. The only way that it can do that is by restarting your device. Unplug your modem, leave it unplugged for about a minute, and then plug it back in. The process is similar to putting your phone in airplane mode for about a minute, taking it out of airplane mode, and letting it search for a new tower to connect to. You have to do this with your modem also every so often. Once you plug your modem back in, it should apply any updates it received and then search for a new tower to connect to and run off of. Towers can change at any time as network equipment in them in updated and serviced by their technicians or as new towers come online. Towers can also get over congested at times. When this happens, they start kicking any devices connected to them offline. Unplugging your modem and then restarting it will usually fix this problem. If your issue persists, you may need to take your modem to your local T-Mobile store and ask them to swipe your SIM card. Here are some help articles about restarting your modem:
