Is there a URL that can be used to send a message to my phone from a computer?  I’m trying to set up a remote notification function in an app that monitors a boats anchor. Aquamap is designed to send a message if your anchor lets the boat drag outside a designated distance from gps coordinates. This function would allow me to monitor the security of my anchor while taking the dog to shore for relief.

    Basically, if there was a web portal for sending texts to T-Mobile phones, there would be some sort of URL behind it. I think that would be too easily abused by Spammers. There used to be a number of retail texting services (SMSbug and FishText come to mind) that had ways to text from the net. They sort of went away when texting became cheap or free.
