Poor reliability
I'm in northern New Jersey, just across the Hudson river from NYC. I just moved here from western NJ and figured to have at least decent internet coverage/reliability. I have neither. The buffering, freezes, and general disappointment is souring me on T-Mobile's home internet. It's a shame because I'm more than satisfied with their cellular service. My timeline for waiting for improvement will be the turn of the year.

Have you tried the T-Moblie Home Internet placement tool ? Also, as others pointed out in the FAQ, contact T-Mobile about your location for TMHI. Not all locations are equal, and I suspect that being right across from NYC, you may be in an area that’s over subscribed.

My reliability has been going downhill since T Mobile and Sprint merged. I have been working with T Mobile, updated my equipment, sim card and location of the equipment. I’m at my wits end. The problem is on their side but they just want me to keep doing everything. I was talking with my neighbor and he is experiencing the same issues. Any body else have issues like this.

did you pull up the coverage map for the new area and zoom in?

Did you contact T-Mobile prior to the move? Per the FAQs:
“Customers are required to call T-Mobile prior to moving to confirm that their new address is eligible for service. If T-Mobile Home Internet is available at the new address, you can use it as soon as you move in. If a customer moves without notifying T-Mobile, they may not be eligible for service. Please call 1-855-695-8678 to set up a change of address.”
