Home internet drops out when gateway switches to 5G UC

We've had the G4SE gateway since February and our service was great until the leaves grew out on our trees, didn't know that was going to be a problem.  We have an external antenna and our signal almost always is 3 bars (good), we get decent internet if the gateway will stay on 5G but as soon as it switches to UC everything totally slows down, download is 10 Mbps +/- and unmeasurable upload.  Is there any way to stop the gateway from switching?

The gateway will switch from LTE to 5G based on a few factors.  There is no eay to disable it from doing so as one of the reasons is to prevent the network your gateway is connecting to from being overloaded.  When you need faster, like for downloading, it will switch to 5G when possible.  4G LTE and 5G radios are actually different.  This is why they have to switch and why there is a momentary drop in connection.
