Voicemails being "Deposited into text"
Our family recently transferred to T-mobile. We all have iPhone 12 Max.
Since transferring to T-Mobile all of our voicemails we receive are also being “deposited” into our texts.
I have searched the internet, T-mobile site, and this community trying my. best to find out how to stop this from happening.
Does anyone know how to stop this. It is filling up my phone storage!

I have been able to turn the voicemail messages off for the primary line, but how do I do it for the rest of the lines in my family plan? As soon as I click on ‘Block Calls and Messages’ it takes me to my main line, even though I have selected another line in the ‘Profile Settings’ page.
Thanks in advance.

even funnier is the fact that this is something that you usually must opt into and not just auto added to everyones account.

The fact that this “feature” even exists and needs to be explicitly turned off is ridiculous.

For iOS duplicate VVT notifications update your service to add on the $0 VVT block feature in the T-Mobile app, online through My T-Mobile.
In the T-Mobile app:
Open “Account” tab
Click “Profile settings” link
Select “Block calls and messages”
Select “Block Other” on the line you wish to update
Turn on “T-Mobile Voicemail to Text Block”You're welcome.
Thank you so much, that was a super annoying and completely unwanted feature!

OMG me toooo!!!!! I found this page after I spent the morning on with 611 technical support from t-mobile because my calls were being dropped also. They resolved it but then had trouble figuring out why suddenly I was receiving texts from people as their voicemail before the voicemail even came in. Took a few trail and errors but they were able to disable the voicemail to text on their end (and only have normal voicemail transcribed like before in the voicemail section) and it worked (but took a lot of time).
But I read this after and this is obviously the quicker solution so I also changed the settings just in case also in the app.
Here is the post written that works from tech_support07Helper

I experienced this same random hijacking of voicemails which were being transcribed incomprehensible text messages. In addition, there is no actual voicemail to listen to anywhere that I can find. There is a “Click here” number in the text that is not working link. I don’t understand what T-Mobile is intending with this ridiculous feature. It is either fatally non-functioning, or just useless.

FYI. I called 611 and got the “expert” from out of town who had no idea about this feature and tried to get me to make changes to my iPhone’s visual voicemail app. Train your damned people!
