unlock iphone right away on call
I switched to a new iphone from iphone 11 about a week ago. The 11 was t-mobile locked. I called contact-us number and waited about 30mins. Got earful of t-life app while waiting. After connected, and verified my account info, the rep was able to unlock my old iphone in a few secs w/o asking my IMEI#. Woohoo, that's was fast!!
According to the new unlock policy it should of been unlocked once the requirements are met but Apple may make T-Mobile put in a request.
