Poor video quality over text

Recently switched from Verizon. All videos sent via text seem t be really poor quality and small. Any way to adjust? Used to be on Verizon and iphone to iphone were good. Between iphone to android were poor. Now all seem poor.

Same problem, I switched from Verizon to t-mobile about 5 month ago. Every video I text comes through in very low quality and small. They said it would send better on WiFi . So I sent my wife a video on WiFi in my house with her on WiFi sitting next to me and it still came through looking terrible. This really needs to be fix or it will be time to go back to Verizon

  • There is actually no such thing as “texting” a video. What happens is that the video is uploaded to a server, then a link to its location is sent via text. When you open the “text” it automatically downloads the video at the linked location. T-Mobile may be compressing the video more than Verizon did in the process of uploading it.

I actually figured it out . For some reason my text was showing up in green and not blue like they usually do when text another person with an apple iphone. I went into the settings under messages. Then I went to  iMessage click send and receive. For some reason it was set to email and not My cell number. So I unchecked email and selected cell number. Now when I send a message to another iPhone the get it in full resolution.
