Beware of this scam!
I received a text message from “T-Mobile” stating that they’ve received several complaints about my phone sending spam txt messages.
I panicked and clicked the link. It took me to a “T-Mobile” page that was red and alarming saying that my account would be deactivated and I would incur expensive fees if it wasn’t fixed. Then took me to a chat page where they claimed to scan my phone and said the messages below came from my phone. Then said my phone has been compromised and sent me to a malware site. The messages are below.

The give away is the area code. Tmobile isn't going to send text messages from New Jersey. It's going to be short codes or numbers from their headquarters.

This is what I received when I clicked the initial link!

I’m an original sprint customer and I’ve received calls from local numbers in the past.
