Why Isn't Pixel 5 Listed As A Supported Phone?

My phone is listed in my account as Unknown. When I went to look for a listing of T-Mo supported 5G and 4G LTE phones, the Google Pixel 5 is not listed. The older Pixels back to the 3 are okay. The online chat agent said the T-Mo engineering group is continuing to research the Pixel 5’s compatibility. On a ten-months-old phone, which will be overtaken by the Google Pixel 6 in a few months? I don’t understand.

    If it's a non Tmobile phone it will show as unknown.

    Just because a device shows as “unknown” in your account, doesn’t mean it won’t work perfectly fine.  It just means that the device wasn’t purchased from T-Mobile.
