Voicemail notification not linked to T mobile visual voicemail
I’ve just switch my phone from the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G and I’ve been having issue with the voicemail notification.
I get a lot of voicemails each day and I use the T Mobile Visual Voicemail App to listen and delete those voicemails. When I had my old phone, it used to link and if I listen or clear out new voicemails, the notification in the notification bar will disappear.
It use to work really well with my old phone, but not the new one.
Now, when I get a new voicemail, it would notify on the phone & in the notification bar. When I get the notification, I would normally go in the T Mobile Visual Voicemail App to hear it. The voicemail alert notification in the notification bar keeps showing even if I already heard or deleted all the new voicemails. THE ONLY WAY to clear our the voicemail alert notification in the notification bar is to press the notification to CALL the voicemail box. Once it’s called, it will say “your mailbox is empty”, then the notification would disappear within a minute
Please help to fix issue. It’s annoying to see the notification all the time. It’s also a hassle having to use both method of checking the voicemail to clear out the notifications.

I just upgraded my phone and I have the same issue. Did you ever get it fixed and if so how?

I've had my note 10+ for quite a few years now and I just started having this issue. It's driving me crazy! Plus my galaxy 4 watch is doing the same thing. I tried to turn off voicemail notifications and it's a toggle switch that I'm unable to toggle. Who would do such a foolish thing as make me have to receive multiple notifications for a voicemail, I can read on visual voicemail, and not be able to get rid of the notification without calling voicemail and delete the message? FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!! PLEASE!
