Spam?

Whenever I do a search on my phone it activates a virus and prompts me to enroll/subscribe/renew with Norton and asks for my banking information.  I am not familiar with this and need to know if it’s safe for me to renew with Norton for antivirus protection when my phone has McAfee Security?
