No coverage

I recently moved to Ithaca, near Cornell University and there has been no service since 2 weeks. I reached out they said there is a maintenance and then told me my device wasn't compatible and to visit T-Mobile. Same 5G and 4G were working fine in New York/New Jersey. Is it my device or there is no coverage in Ithaca?
