The Pixel 8 or the Pixel 8a might be worth a look. The processor in them isn't great but if you don't game on the device. It's fine. The modem also isn't the greatest but but definitely not the worst either. If you live in a good coverage area, that also won't be an issue. You might even be able to find an 8 Pro for that price. With the extended update support, those devices are hard to pass on.
