My incoming phone calls

I was in an accident and had the person that caused the accident call my phone to have his number for future contact.  He did so, but the call registered as a voicemail call.  The caller did not leave a message so upon me listening to the call I deleted it.  Unfortunately, that was the number I needed to have for the insurance and everything else.

When I tried to get the number via my call list of numbers received it shows as a 123 VM Retrieval.    The bad thing about is, that I now do not have his number and now I’m stuck with paying the cost of repairing the car and paying my insurance deductible.   

If anyone knows how I can get the number please tell me.   Thank you.
