Missing photos
Took phone in to T Mobile store to switch from one phone to another. Dhe did a backup to transfer photos. Now I am missing some very important photos. Yes I have checked sd card and google photos.
Are they just out there somewhere or gone forever.

Most likely they are gone unless you backed them up on the cloud someway.
That’s why people use these cloud backups and pay that monthly fee for it.
were they backed up on the SD card and encrypted? if so then i have a feeling you would need to put the SD card back in to the original phone..un encrypt them then put the SD card back in to the new phone.
