Turn off one phone

I have a teen and I need to be able to “turn off” her phone at certain times of the day and then turn it back on later. Can I do this? And when the phone is “off” will calling 911 still work?

You should have the option to suspend a line under the PAH login.  However, that is not intended for what you are hinting at.  Lines that are suspended are intended to be for periods of a month or longer and not multiple times a day.

As suggested above.  Taking the phone from the teenager during these times or perhaps even longer than just a few hours is the best and easiest way to achieve what you want.  That's because turning off the SIM does not stop them fr connecting to WiFi and continuing to use the device without network connectivity and apps like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp as two of the many examples only require a one-time verification to send and receive text messages for their number.  Even iMessage will still continue to work after a line is disconnected until someone else registers the number and verifies it is theirs.

You cannot, you just have to take the phone away and hold power to turn it off.

You can restrict internet access. But the phone will still be on. If the phone is off, she would need to hold the power to turn it back on and then she can call 911.

To restrict internet access for WiFi, you'll have to log in to your router.

Through data, pretty certain you need to log into your TMobile account and manage the devices.
