T-mobile service

Hey so I just took a trip to Mexico and received a text from t-mobile saying enjoy my stay and I was covered coverage wise. I made it back into the US and after a few hours I tried to make a phone call and the phone said dial assist and hung up the call. When looking at the call history, the person I was trying to call now showed a +52 in the front of their number as it is the Mexico extension. Is there something that I can go and turn off so I can call the number again or is it more likely that I’ll have to find a way to contact t-mobile support and have the phones service moved back to US. I have already tried turning off then turning on the phone as well.
