Misapplied payment locked my ability to pay with my credit card

Has anyone have this happen to them?

A couple of months ago I noticed a payment was misapplied to my account. I have my account on autopay so when I noticed a payment for $62.00 I called immediately to notify T-Mobile and long story short when I called they said there’s nothing to worry about even though I didn’t make the payment and not to worry about it. Now I got a past due for the $62 plus a $30 return fee (which I was able to dispute) so I paid the $62 along with my bill but the problem is now T-Mobile won’t accept any payments from me not even over the phone they want me to come into the store to make payments (which has a $5 surcharge too). This isn’t convenient for me. Now I called and asked them why this is the case since I notified T-Mobile of the misapplied payment and was proactive in doing their job so the money goes back to whoever made the mistake. But why lock my account out from using my credit card and autopay? I called and got nothing but lies and little help. They won’t even escalate or transfer me to the appropriate department to get this resolved. I’m still trying to figure what I did wrong. If I notified them then why punish me? Anyone have this happen to them?
