How to change number of rings before goes to voicemail?

Just bought an I-phone SE 2 and have T-mobile service. Currently my phone rings 10-15 seconds before going to voicemail. I want to reduce the time the phone rings before voicemail.

25 July 2024 - you can’t change number of rings, you change the number of seconds when voicemail activates on your line

    from tech support:

    • open a call screen as normal like you would normally do when you make a call
    • dial this string of characters and numbers

    **61*18056377243**5#

the 5# at the end is the number of seconds before voicemail is activated.  The times are 5 second increments (5, 10, 15, up to 30)

Thank you for this info. I haven't tried it yet but I've wanted to know how the heck I could change the number of rings for quite a long time. Like so many other things though, why couldn't this be made readily available in instructions right from the jump? Giving TMO the benefit of the doubt, maybe this method was available at the jump and I just didn't know until now. However, this is a really funky way to fix this. Agreed?!? 😊

For so long friends have been complaining about the insane amount of rings before voicemail picked up!  AND I've not had a voicemail like from doctors etc for months and couldn't figure out why even scolding them to PLEASE leave me a message-  and no one said a word as to why they didn't!  Obviously they were completely impatient and found it better to call me right back 10 times WHILE I WAS SLEEPING instead of leaving a message! OMG the trouble this has caused that I didn't really think about until now that I could change it.  I just hope this funky way to change or really does work!  If not I'm going postal! No only fooling but I will be upset
