Forced updates
First, I would like to know what the update is all about and then I would like the option of whether or not I want to install it. I am tired of updates changing my apps in ways I don’t like. The latest is the changes to text messages. Now the bold no longer unbolds when I read the message so it always looks like it hasn’t been read. In the same app, now about 25% of my outgoing text show up as failing to send, then when I hit resend it goes immediately. Problem is, I don’t always know right away it didn’t go...and there is absolutely no reason it shouldn’t have gone the first time.

plus usually after a larger OS update you’ll need to update apps to be on the same level as your phone is update wise..
which phone is it? if its a Samsung then most of the stuff the phone came with stock are Samsung apps..so a update messes it up its fully on them to get those fixed as well. or switch to different apps to take their place.

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer of the device you have to see what they changed and if they are aware of the issues you are experiencing? Updates are pretty easy to research online as well. Most manufacturers publish some of what an update will do.
