3rd Line Overcharge

I just realized last week I was being charged $45-50  a month for a 3rd line that I never consented to or used. Two different Customer Service Supervisors say their policy is only allowed to reimburse me for 4 of the 40 months. Very disappointing to pay for THEIR mistake.

I am dealing with this now. Since November a line was added to my account and they only want to reimburse me me for 3 out of almost 6 months of overpayment. I’m filing a lawsuit.

Yes, I am also filing a small claims lawsuit with the local New Britain, CT courts if T-Mobile doesn’t fully reimburse an unauthorized 3rd voice line charge (that had zero usage because I never had a 3rd voice line). After contacting PURA, the FCC and the BBB, Executive Relations offered repayment for only 24 of the 40 months and used their 60-day billing dispute window as justification for not paying the full amount. When any reputable company is at fault for adding unauthorized extra charges they should take responsibility as soon as they are made aware of it. I will continue to escalate my outreach to the FTC, the attorney general and my state representative, if need be. These unauthorized “catch me if you can” practices are clearly a pattern of behavior and are unethical business practices. T-Mobile needs to look into such overcharging transgressions and fully address them and customers like us need to speak up not only for ourselves but for other customers affected.

I just filed a complaint with the FCC which was escalated to T-mobile and I am waiting their reply.

  • Had the same exact problem cause some cuck with piercings scammed me at Walmart and now I'm paying more than I should have and since I'm not the main line, I can't cancel. And no one in t mobile support helped me, all they did was tell me to pay it which was a virtual " you".

Can you contact the main line holder and ask them to contact PURA, the FCC and the BBB for starters? If they won’t,  you could still contact them on your own and explain your situation. So sorry to hear you are feeling scammed  paying for services not received.
