Discrepancy in data usage between phone and T-Mobile app
I am currently travelling abroad and did reset my data tracking in my iPhone the day before I left the USA. The phone shows I have used 660 MB of data since the reset. However, T-Mobile already shows 1.6 GB of international data used in less than a week, almost 3x as much and much more than I would typically use in the US. How can that discrepancy of a factor of 3 be? Shouldn't the phone be more accurate?drjochen5 days agoNetwork Novice67Views0likes2CommentsPixel 9, loss of connection while roaming
I've had an ongoing issue with international roaming on my Pixel 9 Pro I was on a trip to the UK about 6 months ago and the phone would drop the connection, typically showing Connected, no Internet. The Internet stays out, I cannot make calls, send/receive texts. I am now in Korea on a trip and having the exact same issue. The only way I can get reconnected is via restarting the phone or hitting repair in the Internet settings menu. I think I lose connection everytime the phone connects to a new tower. I never received the automated welcome to Korea text from T-Mobile. I do not recall if I got one while I'm the UK with the same issue. APN is fast t-mobile. Roaming is on, adaptive connectivity off or on makes no difference. Any ideas?NRtmob11 days agoNetwork Novice103Views0likes1CommentSimple Choice North America unlimited 5G data
I have Simple Choice North America plan which has unlimited data with 2GB at 5 G rate. Some time back I received a message suggesting it has changed to Unlimited 5G data on this plan. I lost that communication. Is this correct that Simple Choice North America now has unlimited 5G data?AndyRo30 days agoNetwork Novice170Views0likes1Comment5G in France
How can I get consistant 5G while traveling in France when available. Usually if I am watching YouTube for a long time the phone drops to 4G and then to 2G. I want a consistant 5G (where available). Are there any plans I can add to . I have Magenta +sharris11731 days agoNetwork Novice178Views0likes3CommentsNo roaming !!!!
I’m no rookie with international roaming. Bought 15 gb 30 day package. Will not work in Victoria Falls in either Zimbabwe or Zambia. T-mobile advanced support were no help and never bothered to call me back on wi-fi after we reset network and so on. All settings and switches backend are correct for roaming. Very disappointing since I rely on t-mobile comms for security. In Zimbabwe it just won’t work and in Zambia it says unable to activate. This after getting the routine message about t-mobile “welcome to Zimbabwe” and similar for Zambia. 😐Rickzam2 months agoNetwork Novice390Views0likes6CommentsI need a one month hotspot in Czechia
Hello. Hope you can give proper advice. I have been a TMobile customer for decades. Currently I have international roaming which usually manifests itself with 2G speeds in the roaming country. That is fine. I also pay for monthly hotspot service in the USA. That works great if I work remotely from any state within the USA. Due to family illness I need to work remotely from Czechia for about a month. I would need full speed internet for use for my notebook computer. I suppose a hotspot device would be great solution. What can I do to get it done?brambor2 months agoNetwork Novice236Views0likes3Comments$280 bill for international call
I've been a T-Mobile customer for seven years, but I just received a bill for over $280 due to an accidental call to Belgium. I intended to make the call through WhatsApp, but somehow, it went through as a regular international call and lasted over 80 minutes. I reached out to T-Mobile support, but they told me there's nothing they can do since the window to dispute the charge (which was three days ago) has already passed. After seven years as a loyal customer, it’s frustrating to face this kind of response, and I may have to switch to another provider. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation or know if there’s anything I can do to resolve this?kimappel2 months agoNetwork Novice423Views0likes2CommentsCalling to Kazakhstan from US
I can't call any Kazakh number from the US; it ends the connection without ringing. I start with +7, which is Kazakhstan's country code, then the rest of the number. I can call these numbers with a Kazakh sim card so they definitely work off of T-Mobile. Why can't I call Kazakh numbers? This says they should work: https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/international-calling?countryName=Kazakhstan Thank you.kindanduseful2 months agoNewbie Caller96Views1like1CommentExcessive Bill Charge for Overseas
T-mobile is refusing to remove an excessive charge. I traveled to Djibouti in December, while getting to the airport I was trying to get my luggage and not paying attention to my text messages. I made a phone call to let my family members know I was ok and hanged up. From the time that I was waiting for my luggage and providing information to the local security it was maybe about 20-30 minutes. I attempted to call the hotel but there was no ringtone. When I checked my text messages I got a message saying that they were charging me 800 dollars for data roaming so I immediately turned it off. During my whole trip I was not using my data roaming and when I got back to the US I called T-mobile because they cut off my cellular service. While speaking to the representative on the phone I asked her about the bill and she said that everything was fine there was no additional charges and she restored my service. A month later I check my bill and the balance is 1,465.71! I was surprised to see that ridiculous amount on my phone bill and called customer service. The representative told me that she would put in a request to get the balance removed due to me not knowing that this country was not on their list of approved international plan. The lady provided me with some tips and informed me of a pass I could purchase prior to traveling. I travel for work and have never had any issues with service therefore I was clueless to all of this. Today I contacted T-mobile again because I have not hear anything back. After 40 minutes on the chat with a representative, they informed me that T-mobile is refusing to remove the charges because they sent a text message. This made me realize that T-mobile DOES NOT care about their customers and all they care is about the money they can make out of them. I am very disappointed and will be changing phone companies. I am only sharing my experience so others can be aware and do not make the same mistake I did.cithlali2 months agoWi-Fi Wanderer200Views0likes1CommentNo internet service
