Internation Service
I have 5 cell phones on my account. I activated international coverage a week ago. NONE of my phones have had acceptable service. My phone went active when I arrived in Paris, France, last Thursday, June 20. I had service for about 2 hours. Since then, I have spend over 10 hours of my family vacation time trying to get someone at T-Mobile to address our « outage » I explained to the tech folks that my phone doesn’t work so, you guessed it, they call me on m,y phone and leave a voice mail message. When we go outside and face T-Mobile HQ in Washington, we occasionally get a whopping 3G connection for about 10 minutes. I have spent nearly 7 calls in excess of 45 minutes EACHD on hold (ok, ignore) only to have my call sent to Tech Support; then, I wait another 45 minutes to talk to someone — someone who has no idea how to resolve the problem. I reached out to Mike Sievert, CEO, and he promised me that someone would be in touch shortly. That was at 8:02 PM tonight, Paris time. It is 9:57 PM and I haven’t heard from anyone. Bottom line, I will try to be a tourist tomorrow — again with NO SERVICE. What happens if my 2 year-old granddaughter falls and needs an ambulance? Maybe I can send smoke signals.DoNotPatronizeM11 months agoRoaming Rookie5.4KViews3likes47CommentsInternational roaming / India - has issues
I have international roaming available as part of plan, but phone won’t connect to internet. I am currently in a city called Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The phone connects to a strong signal from Vodafone - India (and shows all bars are up on signal anywhere in city). But, when i try to start up chrome browser, it immediately shows “NO INTERNET”. Has been consistently doing it for past few days that i have been here. The obvious checks (Mobile data, Data roaming, Network operator etc) have all been checked. So, i am starting to think that vodafone india is throttling or cheating Tmobile on their end of the deal. If not, how can tmobile give me data service here ? I need to get this working soon, since i will be india for a while…..currently, i am getting by only on wifi connects.nsamuel4 years agoNewbie Caller27KViews1like41CommentsMexico-T-Mobile Mobile Data issue on S22 Ultra e-Sim
I’ve Samsung S22 Ultra 5G with e-SIM. Plan is Simply Pre-Paid with 10GB of Data/Month and has USD$15 for International Calling, which Includes Mexico and Canada. I came to Mexico City, Mexico on 4th Feb 2023 and soon after the Plane Land, I saw the data as LTE. Roaming is On and Manually Selected the Network TELCEL(T-Mobile partner). Now the issue is I can see the LTE Icon, but Chrome, WhatsApp and Facebook are not loading. I reset the Network setting and did a Phone Re-Start. Airplane Mode was on-off, and the Data send/receive is still not working. #RON# (#766#) also tried. I also used Speedtest to see whether data send/receive happened and in Speedtest, it could not connect the Provider and Server. The call and SMS service is working Fine. I raised 2 Tickets, one after another, with Customer Service and Engineer team and they said it would take 72 Hours to resolve. But there is no resolution. #73045642, 69530200 Still depend on Wifi Service and Office Verizon Mobile HotspotSolvedSSP3 years agoTransmission Trainee2.9KViews0likes22CommentsInternational Roaming - Not connecting
I can’t get international roaming to connect to the internet even though all my settings are correct. We have unlimited data and texting, internationally. I have a feeling T Mobile is blocking my number from roaming but they can’t figure it out. My wife on the same plan has working roaming - Any suggestions? T mobile cusomer care or technical could not resolve the issue - it’s as though they are not recognizing my number, associated with the plan…bjdouglas2 years agoRoaming Rookie22KViews1like21CommentsUnlimited free calls on 15GB/30 Days International Data Pass and Wi-Fi Calling
I was told by a retail sales rep at a T-Mobile retail store today that unlimited free calls to/from/within Simple Global countries on International Data Pass only works on Wi-Fi Calling and that without Wi-Fi calling the charges for each call is $.25/minute (Magenta plan). This does not seem right as this would mean locals calls made within a Simple Global country would result in an international call originating from the U.S. Instead of being a free call, I believe, this would result in a $3.00/minute call. Do we really need to turn on Wi-Fi Calling while on International Data Pass? I am planning a trip to Japan and don’t want any surprise billing when I return from the trip. Would appreciate any comment from people that have used this service.Solvedtirebiter4 years agoRoaming Rookie12KViews0likes20CommentsInternational SMS to Greece not working
For some months now, I have not been able to receive SMS messages from Greece, and the ones I send do not reach them either. This is through two different devices, and a friend (who also has T-Mobile) has the same issue, and to many different numbers and carriers in Greece, so I know it is a carrier issue on the T-mobile part. Friends on other carriers in the US do not have that problem reaching any number in that country. Unfortunately, the “engineers” always come back with the same lame answer: “We have verified that the customer is properly provisioned for messaging services seeing no errors or restrictions.” Anyone have a clue if there is a way to escalate this so that they actually look beyond my account? Talking to T-Force has been the exact same loop. Thank youljv3 years agoTransmission Trainee1.5KViews0likes19Commentsinternational service just stopped working
Hi there! I have an international plan and my international plan just stopped working today. No service at all , even when back in a service area. Same thing happened to my mom who was on Verizon. Tried calling Tech Support but was on hold for more than 40 mins with no response . Any way anyone can assist ?1.2KViews1like17CommentsExcessive Roaming
My family and I are traveling in Europe for about 2 months. We have the Magenta Max plan which says that there is unlimited international data roaming, however, the fine print states that data usage might be blocked or charged for ‘significant roaming’. Last summer on a similar trip, we ended up with a huge bill for data roaming. What is considered excessive roaming? And how can we keep track?jameselkind3 years agoNetwork Novice4.4KViews0likes13Comments
