My favorite part of being in the Magenta Family has been seeing how T-Mobile shakes things up to get rid of antiquated practices and eliminate customer pain points. T-Mobile is up to some more great shenanigans. Today we announce the new Un-carrier Move: PHONE FREEDOM You know how it feels like the new guy always gets the good stuff? New babies get all the attention. New coworkers get all the good feedback. New customers get the better promotions. Well T-Mobile is here to disrupt this norm by introducing the new Go5G plan. Go5G and Go5G Plus offer more hotspot data and the Go5G Plus plan gives new and existing customers the same great device deals. Gone are the days of missing out on a major deal because you have been with the company for months or years. The new plans are great, but we have more. Phone Freedom is also bringing enhancements to our switcher programs. Carrier Freedom lets us reimburse you for your remaining device balance with your old carrier when you switch to us, trade in your old phone, and buy a new one on your T-Mobile account. With the Easy Unlock, you can now combine the device reimbursement with a promotion for your new phone. That means we will give you up to $650 per line to pay off old phones and deals to get a new one free or discounted. We are always learning, innovating, and building. Things are not always sunshine and rainbows, though. If you sign up and things are not performing the way you really need them to, we don’t want you to feel stuck. I don’t know about you, but I have completely gotten rid of regular cable service and switched over to streaming services almost exclusively. (I say almost because who doesn’t love going to a movie theater once in a while?) With all of the streaming services available, there is a way to watch just about anything nowadays. I love that T-Mobile partners with so many of the streaming companies and guess what! Another one is coming to our lineup! ViX Premium is a streaming service that offers over 10,000 hours of Spanish-speaking content including news, sports, and original series, along with so much more. I'm looking to learn Spanish and I want to sign up because I've been told that watching Spanish TV is a great first step to getting used to the language. Happy Thanksgiving!

This year I figured I would bring the friendly debate to the Community. Tradition or trying new things? The traditional Thanksgiving meal is always delicious and something I look forward to for weeks. It can be stressful to make a meal large enough to feed that many people, but the familiarity holds a sense of comfort. And with the amount of leftovers.. the possibilities are endless! Ever had the urge to put tradition aside and try something completely different? Shake things up and try a meal no one would expect. Go on a trip to see new sights. Take a moment to look back and appreciate what you’ve accomplished. Celebrate the growth you’ve experienced over the past year and the hardships you’ve overcome. These achievements can be big life events or small, meaningful moments. Scroll through your camera roll or messages to reminisce about the cool things that stood out. Did you discover new music or shows? Start new adventures or finish big projects? Share in the comments your favorite moments of 2024, no matter how big or small. Setting goals and sticking to them can prove to be an uphill battle. I love the idea of breaking bad habits or establishing better ones, but I always seem to lose focus and motivation about two weeks in. While technology has made it easier to stay in touch with loved ones and manage our busy lives, it can also be a source of stress and distraction. This year, consider taking a tech break to fully immerse yourself in the festivities and create meaningful moments with your family and friends. Here are some tips to help you unplug and reconnect during the holidays. First, set clear boundaries for yourself and your family. Decide on specific times when everyone will put away their devices, such as during meals, family game nights, or movie marathons. Communicate these boundaries early and often to ensure everyone is on the same page. You can also create a "tech-free zone" in your home, like the dining room or living room, where devices aren't allowed. This will help create a more relaxed and engaging atmosphere, allowing you to focus on what truly matters — spending quality time together. To make it easier to stick to these boundaries, take advantage of the focus settings on your devices. On an iPhone, you can enable "Do Not Disturb" mode, which silences notifications during designated times. To set this up, go to Settings > Focus > Do Not Disturb and customize the schedule to fit your holiday plans. For Android users, the "Focus Mode" feature allows you to block distracting apps and notifications. You can access this by going to "Settings" > "Digital Wellbeing" > and then work time, me time, or game time under Focus Mode. You can select the apps you want to allow during your focus time and then choose start. These settings can help you stay present and engaged without the constant interruptions from your device. Finally, find other activities that everyone can enjoy together. Plan a board game night, a craft session, or a cooking challenge. Take a walk in nature, visit a local museum, or attend a holiday concert. These activities not only provide a break from screens but also create lasting memories. Remember, the goal isn't to get rid of technology entirely but to use it in a way that improves, rather than detracts from your holiday experience. The first step was updating the website's location to T-Mobile.com/community. If you have any bookmarks or saved links, it'd be a good idea to update those, so you never have to worry about getting misdirected or lost in cyber space. You may have also noticed that things might look a little different. We tried not to make any drastic changes, but little things like the icons, avatar bubbles, or a few other things have a different theme or may not be in the same place.
