tracert timeout for hops
whenever i do a tracert with default setting via an elevated windows 11 command prompt it get timeouts for hops 3 and beyond here is sample of tracert ebay.com i think default timeout for each of the 3 requests per line is 4000ms it took close to 5 min to complete and i know that it doesnt take 5 mins to connect to ebay via web browser so what is up? please help someone.
Accessing gateway admin account via PC
I'm asking the same question that was raised, but not answered in an earlier post: www.t-mobile.com/community/discussions/gateways-devices/t-mobile-5g-gateway-g4ar-or-g4se-question/92986 How can I access the admin account on my gateway without using the T-Mobile app? I prefer to do my admin work from my laptop. Thanks in advance for your answer.
Custom DNS server
I have T-mobile's home internet with their 5G Gateway. I have my own router connected to it as I have multiple devices physically wired to my router. But its an old router and I want to retire my old old router and use the TMO device as my router. But I need to set custom DNS server as I have my raspberry pi as the dns server. Any way I can set up custom DNS server with the gateway? I have checked the settings in the T-Life and HintControl apps. No ability to set custom DNS server available. Any thoughts from the community?
G4AR problems
I am having to restart my G4AR Gateway to get better connection speeds. It helps for a while sometimes a very short time and sometimes just helps a small amount. Does anyone know if there is an issue with this unit? I use a Waveform External Antenna. Without the antenna I ahem slow connection speeds that's why I went with the external. Thank you Bill
Tlife app / gateway offline
I just installed the Tlife app 2 days 11/30/24 ago to manage the old TMobile gateway we have (model: 5G21-12W-A). The gateway is totally working but showing offline on the app so it is worthless. Deleted/reinstalled app, cleared cache, have no VPN, restarted the gateway. Was escalated to the TMobile engineering team. Still waiting for a response. So frustrating ‼️
