New Device Activation
I have this old Sprint device I purchased, and I am trying to activate it on my line, and it wouldn't work. I can receive calls but can't make calls. Sprint said the device have to be unlocked. Please, since when does T-Mobile require Sprint devices to be unlocked before being able to use them with the network? Can anyone help?Dosmiety21 days agoNetwork Novice150Views0likes1Comment- Metanoia2 months agoNetwork Novice182Views0likes2Comments
Locked phone and eSim?
I have a Samsung s23 Ultra I bought from Samsung a few year ago (long time Tmobile/Sprint customer). I did not know but is apparently unlocked even though I was on an installment plan. I travel often and install an eSim and now have 1 from Thailand that I do not want to lose as my Thai number is tied to my Thai (online) bank account also. I want to upgrade to the Samsung s25 Ultra but Tmobile tells me I cannot transfer and use my Thai eSim since the S25 will be on an installment plan (24 months). I do not understand why not as I will still use/keep my Tmobile Sim. Also why do they have eSim anyway? I see there is a feature on my S23 to temporarily unlock the phone, I guess to use the eSim but it does not say how long. When I Google is implied 30 days but I am away sometimes more than that. Could I just unlock it again (after the 30 days expire)? Is the temporaty Unlock request fast? Do I need to do it from the USA or can I do it overseas (my plan wth Tmobile is free overseas). Thanks!dezmo9072 months agoTransmission Trainee123Views0likes0Comments- SivaRajagopal2 months agoNetwork Novice226Views0likes8Comments
Impossible to unlock- a paid off phone
As I wrote earlier and someone nice enough in T Mobile community responded, that my phone can be unlocked with the help of an App, I got T-Life, it did not help. Logged on -in the T account via website, it took me eventually to the page that suggests, call customer care. Back to square 1, got the same promise from agents on the phone- we will unlock and send you a text within 72 hours. This was the 6th time they promised and I recorded the conversation. I am curious, this can really happen in America? I will keep calling and requesting Customer care whenever I have time to waste. Maybe we will set a world record. Overseas military cannot unlock phone
I am permanently station overseas on orders and was just told by T-Mobile customer service representatives that I cannot unlock my iPhone 16 pro since there is a balance on it. I was under the impression that active duty service members on orders overseas were allowed to have their phones unlocked with or without balance on their account. T-mobiles’ website says it should be allowed with orders, but the customer service representatives did not give me the option to send up the orders. Does anyone else have insight on this?aweskamp2 months agoNetwork Novice244Views0likes3CommentsHow do I file a formal complaint?
Switching to Mint, or trying. Our numbers won't port! T-Mobile can see the error but don't know what it means so they called Tmobile customer service for help. Meanwhile, I've explained that my 87 yr Dad's line needs to be restored! He fell and TMobile cancelled his service without authorization. How do I get a person to take this seriously and fix it??, it's been 3 days now, and I can't get them to release our phones(Yes all paid off) in order to have working service with another provider.ajashipley2 months agoNetwork Novice154Views0likes0Comments
