Impossible to unlock- a paid off phone
As I wrote earlier and someone nice enough in T Mobile community responded, that my phone can be unlocked with the help of an App, I got T-Life, it did not help. Logged on -in the T account via website, it took me eventually to the page that suggests, call customer care. Back to square 1, got the same promise from agents on the phone- we will unlock and send you a text within 72 hours. This was the 6th time they promised and I recorded the conversation. I am curious, this can really happen in America? I will keep calling and requesting Customer care whenever I have time to waste. Maybe we will set a world record. Overseas military cannot unlock phone
I am permanently station overseas on orders and was just told by T-Mobile customer service representatives that I cannot unlock my iPhone 16 pro since there is a balance on it. I was under the impression that active duty service members on orders overseas were allowed to have their phones unlocked with or without balance on their account. T-mobiles’ website says it should be allowed with orders, but the customer service representatives did not give me the option to send up the orders. Does anyone else have insight on this?aweskamp17 days agoNetwork Novice122Views0likes3CommentsHow do I file a formal complaint?
Switching to Mint, or trying. Our numbers won't port! T-Mobile can see the error but don't know what it means so they called Tmobile customer service for help. Meanwhile, I've explained that my 87 yr Dad's line needs to be restored! He fell and TMobile cancelled his service without authorization. How do I get a person to take this seriously and fix it??, it's been 3 days now, and I can't get them to release our phones(Yes all paid off) in order to have working service with another provider.ajashipley21 days agoNetwork Novice69Views0likes0CommentsI need unlock my sim

Dear all, I purchased a cell phone that, according to the seller's description, was unlocked for any carrier. However, when I tried to use the device, I found that it was locked by T-Mobile, preventing it from being used on other carriers. I would like to inform you that the cell phone has already been paid off and any existing debts with the carrier have been paid off, and that there are no outstanding financial issues related to the device. The associated plan number is Plan Id: 1097350507 and the Finance Type: LOAN. I have already contacted the seller, but so far I have not received a solution. Therefore, I request that the device be unlocked immediately, in accordance with the guidelines and regulations for unlocking mobile devices. The IMEI of the device is: 354379775813801. I appreciate your attention and await a response with the solution for this case.psmaxwel24 days agoNetwork Novice278Views0likes4CommentsHelp !
So i recently switched over to the iphone 16 plus, i had an iphone 13 pro max prior to that. So i had that pro max on my account since it was released and along the way an accident did happen which caused the phone to not turn on at all. So i took it to the apple store, which there i was told they were going to to fix it and they ended up giving me a new device because something about that they did not have the parts for it. So fast foward to now, since i got a new phone ive been trying to get the iphone 13 pro max unlocked but since i got a new device, the IMEI numbers dont match and was told to go to apple which i did and they were no help at all and told me that it had to be unlocked by my carrier so ive been back and forth with this situation for like 2 weeks and a half which is ridiculous. That second device was on my active line for a long time.Rodgj962 months agoNetwork Novice137Views0likes1CommentSim lock

This seems to be a place for people to complain, and often get results. In common with many other posters, I've been given the runaround by T-Mobile "customer service" in trying to get a phone, that I bought on a local used phones site here in Canada, unlocked. I did the research before buying it. Checked the IMEI, blacklists etc. Phone record was clean, but locked and I'm unable to use my local Canadian SIM. In an attempt to deal with this, I called CS to check with them if there was a reason the phone was locked - ie, was there actually an account that was still current, was the phone being paid off, etc. The CS agent tried to trace the phone by the IMEI, but it apparently wasn't shown in their database. Strange, but what that tells me is that there was clearly no account attached to this phone, so no reason why it shouldn't be unlocked. But just because there was no reason, that didn't mean that they would unlock it. Over the next two months, I've spent seven or eight hours on hold on five different occasions, with promises from five different people to deal with it and get back to me, which not one of the agents has ever done. Today's attempt was the worst - the agent gave me his name, but wanted me to stay on hold for another ten or fifteen minutes so that he could check with another department. I told him that I was late for an appointment; could he call me back? Well, no, he wouldn't do that. This is a T-Mobile phone (T-M startup screen, notification that the SIM I put in the phone to try out wasn't a T-M SIM, so I couldn't use it, etc.), so it must have been bought from T-Mobile. That fulfills the first part of their conditions for unlocking the phone. But no, they will not accept that; tey want to speak to the original purchaser, and I have no idea who that is. They want me to commit to a $100 deposit for use for a period of time, but even then they will not guarantee that they will be able to unlock the phone, because they have no idea why it's locked in the first place. One agent said I should talk to Samsung, but Samsung told me that they supply the phones unlocked and it's up to the phone compaies to decide whether to lock them, and they couldn't help. "Couldn't help", or "wouldn't help" ? I can't get beyond the CS front line who claims that they are managers, but I need someone with technical knowledge and authority. Some posts here refer to getting help from Exec Social Media staff on X, but I have no idea how to get to them. Can anyone help? Please???toh993h2 months agoNetwork Novice345Views0likes3CommentsUnlock iPhone
I purchased an iPhone 12 on December 19, 2020, and paid in full for the device 2022.While the other phone I purchased at the same time was unlocked without issue, the iPhone 12 has not been unlocked despite meeting the criteria provided by T-Mobile. I was informed that in order for the iPhone 12 to be unlocked, it needed to be activated on a T-Mobile line for 45 days. I added the phone to my T-Mobile line on July 21, 2024, and was assured that once activated, the unlocking process would proceed. However, when I contacted support, I was told that the iPhone had not been activated until December 2024, which is inaccurate. The iPhone was added to the line which completed the activation process. This issue should have been resolved by now. As of December 28, 2024, the phone remains locked TMobile. This situation is incredibly frustrating, especially given that the device was fully paid for over two years ago. I've contacted customer support multiple times without a satisfactory resolution, and the continued lack of follow-through is disappointing. I am requesting that T-Mobile take immediate action to unlock my iPhone 12 as originally promised. I should not bear the repercussions because the initial activation process was mishandled and not properly reviewed by your team. Contact me when the phone is unlocked or pay me to do so.Char3332 months agoNetwork Novice277Views0likes1Comment
