Android Feature Questions
Folks, My 8yr old LG has packed in. I got an Apple SE and I may have screwed up. Before handing it over to my partner I'd like to ask a couple of question on modern Androids: Do I need to have Cell Data ON in order to receive a message with an attachment? On my old LG, assume I have Cell Data OFF, I would get the text notification from Joe Bloggs and embedded in the text message was a rectangular box with "Download" text. At that point I could turn on Cell Data and download the attachment (usually a picture). Does this or similar functionality still exist. So.....I'm on about someone sending you a text with an attachment and you have Cell Data OFF but you still get a notification on your phone that you have a text message......sure to see the pic attachment you have to turn Cell Data on and click the DOWNLOAD icon but you do get the initial text notification? Do the phones have an alarm clock that allows multiple alarms to be set for different dates? Thanksiceflow10 hours agoVisitor11Views0likes0CommentsREVVL 6 SD Card Troubleshooting
Hey there y'all, I have a 1.5tb SanDisk Ultra microSD with 900mb used that I use to store music on my REVVL 6. Recently my phone has been crashing and restarting, after which it says there is a problem with the SD Card, only giving me an option to format it (it's already formatted to FAT32). After putting the card into my PC, it says there are no issues and then I put it back into the phone and it suddenly starts working again. However, on this most recent incident, the card seemingly ran into an issue on the crash and restart and needed to get repaired on the PC. I did, and now the card is fully functional on the PC, but the phone still says there is an issue (giving the same notification mentioned above). Backing up the files, formatting the card, and moving them back will take dozens of hours so I would really appreciate any information at all about how to get the card functioning on the phone again. I can provide any other information necessary. This has been a recurring issue I've had with the REVVL line so any help at all would be a lifesaver.Elitepic3 days agoNetwork Novice40Views0likes1CommentAccount suspension
I paid a $22 restoration fee to have my account restored after missing a deadline for a payment arrangement. I got a message from t-mobile saying my account was restored. With the restoration I was then able to set up a payment arrangement for this month. After my account being restored and me setting up a payment arrangement, I jus received another message from t-mobile saying my line has been suspended?racha6 days agoNetwork Novice116Views0likes1CommentTrade In Credit
Is there anyway of getting the $800 trade in value for my S20 I was promised and I did not get?MrsJ099 days agoNetwork Novice87Views0likes2CommentsDid I get a downgrade?
My wife put in a claim for her bronze note 20 ultra, they sent her a black s21 ultra. It might be a mm smaller, no pen, and a worse color. It feels like she's been a little short changed, especially after paying for 5 years of insurance and the 100 dollar deductible. Yeah it might be a like-kind phone, but ngl i feel embarrassed for her. Do we have grounds to complain or is the s21 a better phone, and we should go ahead and send them the note 20 without complaining?berserkturtle11 days agoNetwork Novice90Views0likes1CommentOrdering via Samsung.com
I have been with T-mobile since at least 2011, maybe even before that. I have had three plans with them. First one of the legacy plans, can't remember the name. Had that for a while and then went to the Magenta Max (which is now a legacy lol). So I decided to upgrade my plan last month from Magenta Max to the Go 5g Plus to take advantage of the every two years upgrade. Both the Magenta plan and the new Go plan I have a First Responder Discount which I am very appreciative of. I went on T-mobile's site as I wanted to upgrade two of my seven lines I have for two S24+ 512's and only that phone. T-mobile didn't have any. So checked out Samsung.com and they still have it. And to my pleasant surprise it would seem I could get the T-mobile 800 dollar trade and an EIP all together the same as on T-mobile's site. So Samsung.com asks for phone# and pin and after entering my info, it says I can't complete it because I have a "non-regular" account. They list the following as unable to use Samsung.com to link to T-mobile: Prepaid accounts, Inactive accounts, Business Liable accounts, Suspended accounts, Past due accounts, Government accounts, T-Mobile Employee Accounts, Samsung Elite Accounts, Sprint Accounts So I am thinking ok, none of those apply to me. Well, it didn't work, and gave me: T-Mobile doesn’t support your account type on Samsung.com. Please see the non-supported account types listed on the page. If you have an Individual account and believe you should not have received this error, you can contact T-Mobile Care to confirm/change your account type to supported type such as Individual – Regular and then return to Samsung.com. OR if you don't want to change your account type, please select T-Mobile device with Samsung offers and a payment option other than T-Mobile Equipment Installment program. So I chatted with a T-mobile rep who told me I would have to switch plans to a "regular" account. So I asked him if I have a Go 5g Plus plan, and I am getting the same offers as anyone else with the same plan, only a discount on the monthly cost, that I would have to change to another plan for it to work? That does not seem to be correct?sigp22812 days agoNewbie Caller122Views1like2Comments- dawit70212 days agoNetwork Novice92Views0likes1Comment
