Starlink vs Apple Satellite service
Hi, I recently enrolled in the Starlink Beta. I tried it out for the first time on my iPhone 16Pro today at a rural park with no cell coverage. Both the Apple native satellite service, and the Starlink service seemed to be available. How do I force it to choose the Starlink? When the message came up from iOS offering to send messages via satellite, I just dismissed it, believing this would activate Starlink. Is that right? Up on the right hand top corner, I could see a satellite symbol, which I believe is for Starlink. When I tried to send some SMS messages (green on the iPhone), none of them went through. is there any documentation on how this is to be used? Thanks.krishkal38 minutes agoVisitor15Views0likes1CommentI try to use my Apple Watch Ultra in Saudi Arabia.
After several calls and test and more, still not able to use alone the Apple Watch… I have international plans and the phone works well also in many different countries, active the watch subscription on my plan. The watch works well with other operators, so himself its ok. Any suggestions to make works with TMobile? tksRaffa2 hours agoVisitor4Views0likes0CommentsMy Samsung A51 cannot update system software
For over nine months, my A51 only gives me an error message when I try to update system software, including the security update. I did a troubleshooting session with support and was only able to do a minor update. Since then, I've attempted further updates, still with no success.682Views2likes11CommentsRCS chats disabled by carrier
What the heck?!? My chats were working just fine until a couple of weeks ago. I don't get it. My S23 is up to date. I've cleared the messages cache, turned RCS off and on, turned airplane mode on and off. Am I missing something or what? Because I'm getting madMickey1310 hours agoNewbie Caller119Views1like3Comments5G(arbage) internet
I got sucked into the 5g internet after having horrid experience with overpriced AT&T. I live 80 feet from the TMobile cell in an urban area. I've had repeated loss of signal and buffering since Dec '24. I recently replaced the Gateway (to hell) and still suffer from the same issues. And after pointing the Gateway directly at the cell tower by tech insisting this will resolve signal issues. Anyone stating they haven't had issues must be a paid employee of T-MOBILE posting to keep their job or bucking for promotion to store assistant manager.keng11 hours agoVisitor19Views0likes0CommentsAnyone else ready to switch??
I was a SPRINT customer for over 25 years - got absorbed into TMobile when Sprint got bought out. I'm ready to be done. They keep adding new fees - per line, each month! For what? For the crappy customer service I get? I call to ask about these new fees and I'm transferred multiple times, disconnected, and on hold for more than 2 hours. I email - I get no response. There isn't a live chat function, so I really just don't know what to do anymore. I would like to get some account information about transferring my service, but can't seem to get anywhere with customer service. How is everyone else taking this and if you're reaching out and getting a hold of customer service, how are you doing it?BJSinger7615 hours agoNetwork Novice154Views0likes2CommentsSwitching from Verizon to TMobile was a terrible decision! DO NOT SWITCH!!!!
After 20 years with Verizon wireless I moved to T-Mobile. Bait and switch is an understatement i was quoted $118 for a promotion once I agreed and esigned the documents and switched over my 4 lines my bill went to $220 a month because I no longer qualified for the promotion. After several calls mostly international I was told that I should have read the small print and the iphone 12 which were 5 years old needed to be in pristine condition... Both phones were used by my college age sons and both phones were working but far from pristine. When I received the first bill it was double $225 I was told that the bill would be reduced once the promotion kicked in.... Second bill still over $200 this time I was told the phones did not qualify and that they would look for a new promotion to make my bill more reasonable. The T-Mobile manager told me no problem he would take care of it I would need to go to a T-Mobile store and exchange the iPhone 16 for an iphone16e and my bill would be reduced to $156 a month. When we went to the store, they told us that information is incorrect you do not qualify for that promotion but you bill is qualified for a promotion that would make the bill $171. Third bill came in at $225 so I am frustrated and confused and was totally taken advantage of, if you are reading this do not switch stay with VERIZON WIRELESS they are more expensive (slightly) but at least they are honest, and customer service does care about the customer.jjboys16 hours agoVisitor40Views0likes0CommentsMLB The Show does not work on my T-mobile 5g internet box.
MLB The Show does not work on my T-mobile 5g internet box. It will say “Challenge Failed” when trying to play an online match. The game works perfectly fine when i bring my xbox to my parents house. But when i bring it back to my wifi, it doesn’t work. I test the NAT type until it’s open, I reset the router, etc. I’ve done everything I can think of and there no solution. Does anyone have this same problem? This is the only game that won’t work either. This and NBA 2k brought me some issues. But i can play COD or shooters on my wifi… but cross play sports games seem to bring the issuemikezo18 hours agoNewbie Caller10KViews3likes22CommentsApp Selector Security Concerns
I have concerns about the app selector application. It seems to be installing apps through security blocks. It is annoying enough to have apps installed without permission. My concern is that it is installing apps within a locked down work profile without consent. This means that app selector opens a security breach to the system that could be potentially exploited. The money Tmobile makes on these apps is not worth risking the security of its users and their devices. This shows a lack of care or regard for their customers. I had to jump through hoops to remove this virus from my brand new phone.hiltpatr18 hours agoNewbie Caller459Views1like2CommentsPrice Raise, Shame on You
In this day, when people are trying to afford basic life products, you all decide to raise prices. How sad that this is how you treat people who have been using your services for many, many years. Then you only have TWO plan options, expensive and ridiculously expensive. Bad timing, bad business, shame on you T-Mobile.
