T-Life advanced cellular metrics and HINT no longer showing LTE signal info.
For those noticing recent performance issues with the T-Mobile Home Internet 4GAR gateway, it is most likely due to the latest firmware v1.00.13 upgrade. With this upgrade, T-Mobile has transitioned to the 5G Standalone enablement. This is the process of deploying and utilizing a 5G network that operates independently of the existing 4G LTE infrastructure. Basically, no more LTE. I have been noticing issues since this upgrade with SLOW internet speeds, long web page loads, etc.. Even though the gateway is showing full bars, I can do a speedtest when I see these issues start and my download speed barely reaches 1Mbps. I've noticed this on my MacBook, iPhone, PC, you name it. However, when this occurs, I just turn the WiFi off on the device, turn it back on and the speedtest is back to normal with downloads reaching 400+Mbps. I thought I would share this because I have noticed an uptick in forum posts regarding these performance issues and after doing a little research, I'm pretty sure I have found the reason why. Even Bell users in Canada have been experiencing the same issues with their deployment to 5G SA. This standalone architecture includes a 5G core network, radio access network (RAN), and enhanced transport capabilities, which together support network slicing and edge computing, enabling tailored services for specific use cases.45 Operators are increasingly focusing on standalone 5G networks due to their potential to deliver improved latency, network slicing, and IoT capabilities, which are crucial for enterprise services and creating new revenue streams.4 However, the transition to standalone 5G requires significant investment in OSS/BSS (Operations Support Systems and Business Support Systems) to ensure service performance visibility and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).4 Service providers like Deutsche Telekom offer 5G SA Roaming Enablement services that provide secure interconnect between 5G networks, ensuring end-to-end confidentiality and integrity for roaming messages.2 These services are designed to support business needs by enhancing security while reducing cost and complexity.2 Despite the benefits, standalone 5G deployment faces challenges such as the need for extensive mid-band coverage and densification, which can be time-consuming and costly.5 Additionally, some users, particularly in Canada, have reported difficulties in accessing standalone 5G services from providers like Bell, highlighting the ongoing transition and implementation challenges.3 In summary, 5G standalone enablement is a critical step towards realizing the full potential of 5G technology, offering enhanced capabilities and services, but it requires substantial investment and careful planning to overcome deployment challenges.456+1I_AM_GENO_23 hours agoNewbie Caller49Views1like1CommentHow to set a pre-recorded audio file as my outgoing voicemail mesage?
I can’t believe T-Mobile (or Sprint before them) still don’t allow you to set up and use a pre-recorded audio file (e.g. .mp3) as your outgoing voicemail message. Sure, you can play the file over an external speaker and record it using your phone’s microphone, but the quality is not good. Is there a reason I’m missing as to why this capability is unavailable on my Android phone? Security? Copyright?245Views0likes1CommentThis is my first time having something bad to say
So I was trying to upgrade my phone because they had any trade in for iPhone 16 pro on them and I asked every question I need to ask and was told I was going to get the phone for 0 dollars and I look at my bill and they are charging me for the phone and then they turn around and say well we can give you 24 dollar bill credit but I want what I was told I was getting. Because I wouldn’t have gotten it if I was told yeah no we can’t give you the iPhone on us I wouldn’t have kept my phone that I had. This is made disappointing and very upsetting to me because I basically was taking around the mulberry bush with T this !!Datosha134 hours agoNewbie Caller133Views1like3Commentsneed help with contacting TMobile corporate office

As a new customer, I am attempting to enroll in the Works Perks program. My employer has an agreement with T-Mobile that provides a discount. I was informed that a link to this program would be available on my profile page, but I am only seeing an option for a military discount and first responder verification. If anyone can assist me with this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.Jla13 hours agoVisitor34Views0likes0CommentsSyncup Tracker 2

Don't recommend this company. My wife signed up because they were having a promotion with a free TV with internet sign up. Was told would ship within 10 weeks. 10 weeks go by so I call customer service. So they say I had to apply for the TV within 30 days of receiving our equipment even though I was told it was shipped. So they lie to get your business. Just another scam from another money hungry corrupt corporation. 😒 Will be finding a honest company to do business with instead of scammers. A company that has to lie to get your bussiness isn't trust worthy in my opinion. Internet is garbage anyway, I literally live less than a hundred yards from a cell tower and my hotspot on my CSpire phone gets higher speeds than this dumpster juice.JoeDirt8513 hours agoNewbie Caller97Views0likes2CommentsUnprofessional
My spouse and I switched to T-Mobile last month from our old carrier. The customer service representative incorrectly stated a promotion they were offering. We switched over with the information that we were given and have experienced nothing but absolute problems. T-Mobile verified the information we were given and told us due to what was promised they have to offer it, soon after we started to receive more and more unfulfilled promises. 0 call backs, absolutely rude representatives, and 0 resolution to our issue. Switched back to our old carrier after a month and a half of straight problems. Called today to try and receive a refund for $511 that was out of pocket for a new phone (after being told we would be able to do a trade in; they later proceeded to tell us we are unable to do a trade in with our device due to our specific plan), got told we were not allowed a refund and would have to pay the rest of the device in full. Absolutely ridiculous what we have been through in such a short time with this company, wish we never switched.Mherbert17 hours agoVisitor36Views0likes0CommentsPrice increase
I've been a customer of T-Mobile for over 20 years. I am part of a plan that is grandfathered in. My invoice with multiple lines was typically $205. I purchased several phone devices and committed to a monthly payment plan for each device. This placed me in a monthly rate of roughly $365. I did my very best to pay off every device that had a monthly device plan. In November of 2024 I paid off every device and my monthly play went back to the original of $205. In March 2025 (this month) I received my new invoice of roughly $300 and in addition to that I received a text message that stated ALL T-Mobile plans will now have an increase of $5 per line per month increase. That is a total of $325 plus taxes per month. Somehow someway T-Mobile found a way to increase my monthly plan from the original $205 back to $300+ even while owning all of my devices now. I have multiple conversations with representatives and supervisors inquiring about my rates etc and their excuses range from 'I was receiving a discount while I had my phone devices on a payment plan' and when I paid the devices off...the discount went away. WRONG! My plan was always $205 BEFORE I purchased devices through tmobile and agreed to break down the payments. Then a supervisor named Mark said the text I received regarding the $5 per month per phone line does not apply to me because I am locked in a plan that is grandfathered in. Mark, the supervisor I had my last conversation with on March 13th, 2025 says he will confirm via phone call on Saturday March 15th that my plan will revert to $205 as before and he can assure me the new $5 per month per line does not apply to me. On Saturday March 15th 2025 I received a phone call from Mark and said 'he will not be reverting the plan as discussed' and disconnected the call immediately. He did not allow me to speak. It was an immediate disconnection. My concern is...T-Mobile claims all phone calls are recorded, why or how are the representatives or supervisors able to speak to customers in this false manner? My concern is....how is T-Mobile able to find screw anybody out of their ORIGINAL phone payment agreement once we've dabbled into the agreement of paying for the devices monthly. HUGE MISTAKE. HUGE. I will never ever ever again purchase my phones through T-Mobile EVER AGAIN. I am disgusted at their service. I hope the CEO reads and listens to this post and finds my text messages and calls that were recorded so he can see the representatives that represent the company are a disgrace.Micha18 hours agoVisitor34Views0likes0Comments
