Text messages via e-mail now arriving as coming from short code 6245
Within the past 48 hours, text messages coming from e-mail addresses, began to display in the messaging apps (stock Samsung Messages as well as Google's Messages) as coming from short code 6245 (i.e. 'MAIL'). Looking at the details on the messages, shows the same short code and does not indicate the e-mail address the message came from. If multiple messages arrive, they are all grouped in with 6245. Is this a permanent change, or perhaps is there a bug or issue with the SMS/MMS portion of the network at this time? Thank you in advance.
Lied to about Amazon TV promotion when switched
When I switched over from Spectrum to T Mobile internet I choice the Amazon Fire tv. When I called T-Mobile to inquire about when I would get the code, I was told that I didn’t qualify. I told them when talked with the T-Mobile rep to switch over he told me that the promotion was still going. Now I was told it ended on 1-15-25. I will be canceling my home internet service and going back to Spectrum. I will not be lied to!!!
Price increase Magenta 55+ rate was guaranteed
What?! I've been happy with T-Mobile for a few years now, and thought I was with an ethically operated company. I've had no reason to complain. However just today I received a text that in 2 weeks they are increasing my price. But when I signed up I was promised a guaranteed rate of $70 per month for 2 unlimited lines on Magenta for 55+. Now T-Mobile wants $10/month more than the guaranteed rate. Sorry, the price increase and therefore the change in terms is not acceptable. This isn't a great way to treat loyal customers.
How do we get Tmobile to honor their agreements?
I purchased 2 - 24 Ultra phones on my business account. The rep at the store said it was completely free, I called the customer service line and they confirmed it would be completely free. That was the first lie. They reviewed the phone call and confirmed the promise, fired the rep that sold me the phone and escalated the issue, said it would be corrected. Now after endless calls they still won't honor the agreement, over 20 calls and 5 original store visits 30 miles away. I've been with them for 22 years (14 years as a business), they were ok up until now. I've over paid by $1,400 so far and I have another $1,200. The lack of accountability makes me hate this company now. I hate that I have to sue them and switch to a new service provider.
How to change SSID and PW?
I just received the T-Mobil 5G Gateway G4AR-1 and Access Point as part of the Home Network Plus package and am getting phenominal speeds (750 down, 125 up). On the back of the router there is an IP address and admin and admin password. However when you put the IP address in it comes up to absolutely garbage stuff with no access to any settings. It tells you to download the “T-Life” app, which also gives you no access to settings. I guess my question is, can the SSID and/or factory password be changed somehow?Customer service response resolution
I recently I went into a store to upgrade my wife and I's iPhone. We were told we can stay on our current rate plan and trade-in both our iPhone 13 pros for $750 credit, that would be split over 24 month installments. Looking at my bill I'm only receiving that credit for one of my lines. Called into customer service and they won't resolve.They are saying, even though one of the lines was set up the correct way the other line does not qualify, even though it's the same phone that was traded into the same plan on the same account. There is no way I would've traded in both of my phones just to receive one promotional credit that is not what I was promised and now I'm out an iPhone and $750 that I now have to pay on my bill, someone needs to reach out and fix this.T-Mobile Internet - $200 Pre-Paid Mastercard - STILL WAITING
I switched to T-Mobile Internet over 3 months ago. The $200 Pre-paid Mastercard within 10 weeks was an incentive that led to me making this choice. It has been 12 weeks and I have not heard a thing. Has anyone had a similar experience? I am preparing to switch back to my previous provider if this is how they treat customers.
