Folks, My 8yr old LG has packed in. I got an Apple SE and I may have screwed up. Before handing it over to my partner I'd like to ask a couple of question on modern Androids: Do I need to have Cell Data ON in order to receive a message with an attachment? On my old LG, assume I have Cell Data OFF, I would get the text notification from Joe Bloggs and embedded in the text message was a rectangular box with "Download" text. At that point I could turn on Cell Data and download the attachment (usually a picture). Does this or similar functionality still exist. So.....I'm on about someone sending you a text with an attachment and you have Cell Data OFF but you still get a notification on your phone that you have a text message......sure to see the pic attachment you have to turn Cell Data on and click the DOWNLOAD icon but you do get the initial text notification? Do the phones have an alarm clock that allows multiple alarms to be set for different dates? Thanks
Request to unlock a cell phone – Paid-off device with no debts
Dear all, I purchased a cell phone that, according to the seller's description, was unlocked for any carrier. However, when I tried to use the device, I found that it was locked by T-Mobile, preventing it from being used on other carriers. I would like to inform you that the cell phone has already been paid off and any existing debts with the carrier have been paid off, and that there are no outstanding financial issues related to the device. The associated plan number is Plan Id: 1097350507 and the Finance Type: LOAN. I have already contacted the seller, but so far I have not received a solution. Therefore, I request that the device be unlocked immediately, in accordance with the guidelines and regulations for unlocking mobile devices. The IMEI of the device is: 354379775813801. I appreciate your attention and await a response with the solution for this case.
Splitting Frequencies to 2.4G and 5.0G
5G Home Internet System When I create a 2.4G gateway frequency my download speed decreases to ~40M from a typical 250M to 350 M. I'm I missing something the creation process? When I use the 2.4G frequency it yields an excellent device signal strength but decreases the speed to ~40M like it's being throttled.
Tmobile lost my returned devices, now I'm being charged.
Hello, recently upgraded 4 devices in Nov-Dec and Tmobile has lost 2 of those 4 devices. I've called in multiple times to make sure they are aware it's their problem and have been assured they are working on it but now those 2 lines are showing past due amounts because Tmobile is NOT taking care of it. Any suggestions on how to escalate this to get it fixed? I've called in at least 4 times and they claim they have notes of calls but its feels like I'm describing the situation over and over. Reconsidering my long time account with Tmobile due to this...
YouTube tv stalls constantly
I use YouTube tv and it is constantly stalling especially watching live sports, news etc. I have moved the modem throughout my condo which makes no difference. TMobile CS is always good but nothing changes. They say YouTube tv requires a strong internet connection which I believe I have. Any suggestions? Thank you.
New iPhone16 No Ring For Incoming Calls
Just purchased new unlocked iPhone16 from Apple for my wife. We have two TMO phone numbers and also use TMO 5G home internet. My phone is an unlocked Samsung S22+. When calling my wife’s iPhone from my Samsung it does not ring and goes directly to voice mail. This happens on the second and all subsequent calls after enabling WIFI connected to the 5G home internet router on the iPhone. The first call after enabling WIFI works. It starts failing on the second one. Then when I disable the iPhone WI-FI and leave it that way it works. Yesterday I spent over 3 hours working with TMO customer support. First, I spoke with a gentleman and together we recreated the problem with him calling the iPhone instead of me. Once he was convinced the problem existed, he had me try many different setting changes without success. This took quite a while. He then decided it was an Apple problem and connected me to Apple support. Once again, we recreated the problem with Apple calling my iPhone. The support person did the normal things, many of the same things I did with TMO above. Reboot, run diagnostics, check OS level, check and try various settings. Finally, he confided that he has seen this issue three previous times and suggested it was a TMO network issue. He suggests I call TMO back and have them generate a new eSim as this seems to fix many things on the TMO network. Just as we were about to hang up, I had an incoming call from TMO customer support. I created a conference call with all three of us on the line and ask them to work the issue between themselves to decide whose problem it is. After a while the TMO supervisor (as she called herself) told the Apple support person to drop from the call. After another long period of recreating the problem and trying many different settings including typing ##xx# functions on the key pad with the TMO supervisor there was no success or improvement. Finally, she suggested Apple was to blame and I should contact them -- again. That’s when I remined her that she was the one who told Apple support to drop from the call. That’s when she hung up. So, I’m turning to the TMO community for help to resolve this issue and see if anyone else has this problem that may have a similar environment and setup as I do. Would you be willing to try and recreate the problem as I have described and post here. Maybe that way I can get some traction with customer support.
