Is it possible to downgrade if I haven't paid off my phone?
I'm honestly not even sure how much I still owe on it but a while back, I was kind of in a desperate situation as I was on vacation and my phone died. I was a member of Xfinity Mobile and they didn't have any stores in the area so I went to T-Mobile where they talked me into signing up for the Go5G Plus Up Plan and got the Galaxy S24 Ultra. I've been paying $145 per month and with each passing month, the more ridiculous this seems. I’ve had a back-upT-Mobile Legacy Pay As You Go with Gold Rewards account for more than a decade. Early this year, in 3rd week ofJanuary 2021, I refilled another $10. After refilling, I saw the expiration date extended to 2022 for the same date in 3rd week of January as expected. It looks like T-Mobile had a system/software change during the past year as the UI looks different, e.g., no longer shows how many minutes/SMSes the balance would cover. Whether or not due to that system/software change/migration, I am guessing there’s a bug somewhere as my expiration date got shortened by 2 weeks. From Transaction and Activity history, it looks like that happened either mid-August or early October 2021. Anybody else noticed the same expiration date being shortened? Was there a system change/upgrade that T-Mobile did during 2021 that you’re aware of? How do I contact T-Mobile Chat Support to get this fixed? A few days ago, I saw a way to do so through lower-right corner but don’t see it today. I’m also curious how manyLegacy Pay As You Go users are still around? I recently called T-mobile because I've been having frequent signal issues. I also commented to the agent that I wasn't only getting bad service, but they had a promotion for people to get service for $35 plus a new TV. After checking for a while, she (a Filipino girl) said that I qualify. The next day I checked my next bill and stated that it was still going to be $50. I called again and stated the discrepancy. Another guy from another country said that eventually it was going to be $75. He also tried to give me other options, but basically I felt that he was trying to sale me something else. I told him that I wanted to cancel and he said that he couldn't do that that I would have to wait till I get the new canister. I told him that I wanted to talk to a supervisor and he transferred me to another agent in Guatemala and not a supervisor. They had the music so loud at that place that I could barely heard her. Then, she told me the same thing, but at the same time she wanted to give me options, meaning trying to sale me something else. I called Tmobile customer service about an offer I received by email on 12/20/24. Well I found out of course Tmobile does not put a exp date on those email offers so that way when I log into my account or call in two take advanage of the offer I am told opps that must have expired (yet no exp date) and of course they tried to get me to then upgrade my plan, pay more money etc. I was not happy and told the rep this. She said well if you sign up for auto pay you can get $5.00 off your bill. I explained I use to have auto pay but then you would only do auto pay with my bank info (to get the $5 off). I said in what world would I give Tmobile my bank information when Tmobile has been breach how many times now? I think its three and accounting. So of coruse she got an attitude. I then had another issue with my account that I had to waste my time, enrgy and expense to go to the store to resolve, yet it was not a issue I caused. The store told me to call customer service to ask for a credit (Tmobile dpeartments love to pass the buck to another person). I asked the rep about this and she was so rude and nasty about it. I asked for her supervisor. Her first answer was they will tell you the same thing so no need for the sup. Excuse me but who taught her customer service? That is not the response to give a customer. You do not argue with them instead offer to get the sup. I had to ask three times. I finally get the sup and lsiten to him talk down to me, lecture me and treat me like I am stupid and do not understand how call senters work (yet I have been a call center trainer and manager). I then caught him lying multiple times and pointed it out to him. He knew he was caught lying because his tone changed, he had the nervous breathing, ect. I could not believe this sup was lying right to my face, treat me the way he did and when he got caught lying he tried to change his story. I then asked for his sup. He of course said he was not in but would have his sup call me within 72 hours. Well still waiting on that sup to call. I then called back on 1/6/25 and spoke to another rep. She stated she made a report to give to her sup (who of course could not be bothered to get on the phone to talk to me) so he could forward to that previous sups manger and have them call me. Wellm once again no phone call. Is this really how Tmobile is run now? Sups lie and treat you like garbage? They promise phone calls but cannot be bothers? There is no phone number to be esclated to the executive respone team? I’ve had the original silver “coffee can” T-Mobile 5G home internet gateway for 2 years. Recently, most of the smart devices at home went offline. Tried rebooting and even factory reset on the gateway- nope. Well… since nothing was working except iPhones iPad & laptop - no Roku, thermostat, cameras, garage door, smart plugs and lights… went to T-Mobile store to swap - they didn’t have any older models. They didn’t know who had what at any other stores. So, I started calling each T-Mobile store - found a TM Store that had the refurb black model as all older gateways are being phased out of inventory. Picked it up and was driving home when it hit me … what was wrong - only our iPhones IPad and Windows laptop worked, all other devices could no longer connect or even SEE the gateway. It must be the 2.4 radio went bad. EUREKA - All these devices only use 2.4 but our iPhone can do 2.4 or 5.0 - Plugged new gateway in, power up and changed SSID to match old settings - and bingo - all devices back online … WOW -PS56k9 hours agoRoaming Rookie13Views0likes0CommentsIP address blacklisted

Hi Recently switched to T-Mobile home 5g. I am pretty sure my box model is Sagemcom Fast 5688W. The interface on my PC Browser 192.168.12.1 is very basic and so I installed the app, T-Life, on my phone. I am trying to change the WiFi password but there is only an option to change the admin password. I called the support desk and spent an hour on the phone but she kept telling me to change the admin password- there was a language barrier I guess, couldn't make her understand what I wanted. I see an option to share the WiFi password but none to change it. Also, I see an option to create a new WiFi network- so is that what I do? create a new n/w with a new pwd and then disable the default one? I am a customer with for over 10 years with T-Mobile. I am reaching out regarding a frustrating issue with a recent phone upgrade I ordered through T-Mobile's website. On 10/26, I purchased the RAZR+ phone as part of a promotion offering $600 off, with a monthly plan of approximately $16. Additionally, the promotion stated that $25 would be credited to my bill each month.
