On Tuesday, a number of T-Mobile subscribers reported receiving access to T-Mobile's "direct-to-cell" Starlink beta program, which the company announced last month.T-Mobile has been notifying eligible customers through text messages, according to social media posts. One included a screenshot showing a T-Mobile account subscribed to the satellite network. The technology lets you send text messages without relying on traditional ground-based cell towers. Instead, the phone relays the text messages using orbiting Starlink satellites, giving consumers a way to remain connected in cellular dead zones, similar to Apple’s Emergency SOS satellite messaging for iPhones. When we asked about the beta launch, T-Mobile said: "We continue to make great progress toward a full beta test availability; more details to come soon." In the meantime, the carrier also published a new support document that reveals the cellular Starlink system only works on five Samsung models for now: the Galaxy Z Flip 6 5G, Galaxy Z Fold 6 5G, Galaxy S24 5G, Galaxy S24 Plus 5G, and Galaxy S24 Ultra 5G. “Text messages may take longer than normal to be sent while connected to the T-Mobile Starlink satellite network,” the support document says. “Picture and video messaging is not included during the beta phase.” Recommended by Our Editors Starlink's $50-Per-Month 'Backup' Plan Has One Big Downside Elon Musk Using Cybertrucks As Starlink Stations for LA Fire Relief AST SpaceMobile's Large Satellites to Roll and Tilt to Prevent Astronomy Interference Eligible phones will only switch to satellite connectivity if customers are in an area without traditional cell or roaming services. “Manually selecting the T-Mobile Starlink network will not work while other cellular connection options are available,” the document adds. “When connected to T-Mobile Starlink, your device will display T-Mobile SpaceX at the top-left side of your screen.” SpaceX recently secured approval from the FCC to operate the cellular Starlink technology commercially. T-Mobile has not announced pricing, but SpaceX plans to eventually support data and voice calls via the cellular Starlink service. T-Mobile has also activated the cellular Starlink tech for customers living in areas of Los Angeles devastated by the recent wildfires. The same satellites will also beam emergency alerts to all phones in the affected areas, regardless of carrier.jim13487 hours agoRoaming Rookie7Views0likes0CommentsContinued kids sync up issues
I have now visited two T-Mobile support locations and still cannot use a device I purchased nearly two months ago. Despite paying for an additional line for this product, it remains non-functional. I hope someone in management reads this and acknowledges that the rollout of the Team Life app was a complete disaster. Customers are unable to use specific products tied to this new app. Previously, syncing the app worked fine, but the decision to integrate it into the new app has caused major issues. The process has become an excruciating, time-wasting ordeal. Simple tasks, like adding a contact, are overly complicated and difficult to navigate. For example, when attempting to add a new watch, the interface becomes confusing, especially if you have multiple watches or are replacing an existing one. Contacts from previous devices overlap with new ones, creating conflicting information. After finally figuring out how to add a contact and completing multiple steps, the system gives an error message stating the task cannot be saved. You review the instructions, confirm nothing was missed, and still face the same issue. Even with the assistance of T-Mobile staff and multiple calls to tech support, no one has been able to resolve this problem. Despite this, my bill is paid on time every month. After 21 years as a T-Mobile customer, I’ve never been more disappointed in the service and support provided. This is a breach of the contractual agreement, as I am paying for services that T-Mobile is failing to deliver. I expect immediate action to resolve this issue. Please address this matter promptly.rjr09287 hours agoVisitor17Views1like1CommentActivating an old expired never used sim card for use on an old phone?
Hi Everyone, I have an older relative with cognitive issues that was using a Motorola flip phone she was trained to use. One day she dropped it and the phone's battery cover opened with the battery and sim card flying out and sim card not to be found. We got her an LG V40 with the newer sim card but she couldn't quite use it well. When we put the LG V40 sim card into the old Motorola phone it wouldn't work not because of the sim card size (used an adapter) but apparently the gold colored connectors on the new sim card have a different design than the old ones. I was able to locate several older new and unactivated but expired T-Mobile sim cards. Any way I can get T-Mobile to activate one? I keep getting told that expired sim cards can no longer be activated as they've been removed from the database and no way of activating them or entering them into the database again for use.FAMD_Jordan12 hours agoNewbie Caller18Views0likes0CommentsHow do I reset my password on Facebook if I don't know my email or password?

Dear T-Mobile Customer Service Team, I am writing to formally file a claim regarding incorrect charges on my account related to a smartwatch I purchased for my son. The device in question was returned to the store shortly after purchase due to mechanical defects. At no point was I informed by the store representative that I needed to call to cancel the internet line associated with the device. Despite not using the service, I have been charged $17 per month for the internet line and $13 per month for device insurance since January 29, 2021, totaling $30 per month for 37 months. Yesterday, I contacted your customer service team, and they deactivated the line with the number1516. I was informed that the system shows clear evidence that there was never any internet usage or service consumption on this line. It wasn’t until January 13, 2025, during a visit to one of your stores to address a different issue, that a customer service representative identified this active line and the associated charges. Given that the device was returned and the service was never utilized, I am formally requesting a refund for the charges from January 2021 through January 2025, amounting to a total of $1,110 ($30 x 37 months). I kindly ask for your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to a favorable resolution. Should you need any additional information, please feel free to contact me at the phone number associated with my account or via email at (insert your email address). Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to your response within a reasonable timeframe. Sincerely,cfigueroa15 hours agoVisitor10Views0likes0Comments
