Got questions?

  • With T-Satellite you can stay connected in places cell towers can’t reach. The service supports messaging and location sharing. This means you can send and receive standard text-based messages, including texts to 911, and share your location through your phone’s native messaging app. We are also rolling out picture and voice messaging to select devices and will continue adding more in the coming months. Next up, we’ll deliver satellite data for optimized apps, and will continue to add more features.

  • Nothing! Once you have T-Satellite, your phone will automatically connect to the satellite network when no other service is available. You’ll see the network name “T-Mobile SpaceX” when connected. For more details, please refer to our support page.

  • T-Satellite currently covers the Continental U.S., including Puerto Rico, Hawaii and parts of southern Alaska. Check out our coverage map to see where coverage is available. We are also collaborating with our global roaming partners and SpaceX to offer satellite services to our customers when traveling abroad or in international waters in the future.

  • Over 60 phones work with T-Satellite. Satellite networks work differently from traditional cellular networks, so to ensure the best possible experience, we’re collaborating with our handset partners to optimize as many smartphones as possible.

See the support page for devices that will work with T-Satellite.

  • On satellite, messages may take longer to send or receive, depending on satellite availability and connection conditions.

Satellites are moving so your phone will disconnect and then reconnect automatically to the next satellite. Your phone will continue trying to send your messages in the background.
