The FortiExtender 511G Router is a ruggedized 5G cellular WAN edge device designed to extend secure broadband connectivity to enterprise, industrial, and remote environments. Integrated with the Fortinet Security Fabric, the 511G delivers high-speed 5G NR Sub-6 GHz connectivity with LTE fallback while enabling centralized security, visibility, and policy enforcement through FortiGate firewalls.
Designed for deployments where reliability, signal quality, and security are critical, the FortiExtender 511G features an outdoor-rated enclosure, Power over Ethernet (PoE) support, and advanced antenna design. It functions as a secure cellular extension for Fortinet SD-WAN and SASE architectures, providing primary or backup WAN connectivity in challenging locations.
