Compal RML is a series of 5G communication modules designed for the worldwide EU/US/Asia broadband market, supporting both 5G SA and NSA network architectures. It offers faster transmission speeds, greater capacity, and lower network latency.

The RML Module supports the 5G NR Sub-6 band and is compatible with LTE and WCDMA standards, helping eliminate customers’ investment concerns in the early stages of 5G deployment and meeting the commercial demand for rapid rollout. It features a highly integrated solution with a 22K DMIPS CPU, 3D graphics processing, and a network accelerator.

A rich set of Internet protocols and industry-standard interfaces (USB 2.0/3.0/3.1, PCIe 3.0, SGMII+, I2C, I2S, SPI, UART, DBI, DSI, etc.) support Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 6, Ethernet, audio, and display connectivity without requiring another host CPU. The abundant functionalities (USB drivers for Windows 7/8/8.1/10, Linux, and Android) extend the applicability of the module to a wide range of IoT and M2M applications such as business routers, home gateways, STBs, pocket routers, dongles, industrial laptops, consumer laptops, industrial PDAs, rugged tablet PCs, and video surveillance systems.
