How do I get free Caller ID?

All T-Mobile Small Business customers with 12 voice lines or fewer are eligible for free Caller ID. You can opt in via MyT-Mobile/Account Hub, by dialing #436#, visiting a T-Mobile retail store, or simply by dialing 611 from your T-Mobile phone to speak to an expert in Care.  

  • Small Business customers (B account types, lines 1-12) should visit Retail or call customer care to have free Caller ID added to their account (it will not be available via the Scam Shield app).

How do I change the name that appears on caller ID?

Log in to My T-Mobile and select >Profile>Line Settings>Caller ID to edit how your own Caller ID displays when you make calls and enter your legal name or a commonly accepted variation. Profanity is not allowed. Changes will display within 72 hours.

  • If your name change isn't working, please dial 611 from your phone and we’ll connect you to your Team of Experts.

How can I make sure my business calls are not blocked?

The free website https://calltransparency.com/ gives businesses the ability to register their business number(s) and name, so their calls to customers are recognized as legitimate.

How do I get Scam ID?

Scam ID is free and automatic for all T-Mobile customers; no action required.

How do I block a scam call on T-Mobile?

  • Download the free Scam Shield app and toggle on Scam Block
  • Dial #662# from your T-Mobile device
  • Log in to My T-Mobile or the T-Mobile app, where you'll see an option to turn on Scam Block

What about scam/spam texts? Does T-Mobile block those?

We’ve had an anti-spam solution for mobile messaging including SMS, MMS, and RCS since 2014, and we include it at no additional charge for T-Mobile customers. How it works:

  • Our anti-spam message solution is updated regularly with spam message fingerprints and signatures. Whenever a mobile message is received on the network, it's checked against the anti-spam solution. If a message is determined to be spam or unwanted, we'll block it. Otherwise, the message will be delivered.
  • Customers can report spam or unwanted messages by simply forwarding the messages to 7726.  We'll reply with a confirmation text and forward the message to the Security Center for analysis. The message and your details are encrypted; your identity won't be shared.
  • Replying “STOP” is usually a convenient way to quickly opt out of a message program. However, for unwanted spam texts, we recommend forwarding messages to 7726 and not replying. Similar to picking up an unknown robocall, spammers will use any texted reply (including “STOP”) as confirmation that they've reached a real person.

What is PROXY by DIGITS?

PROXY is a new offering from T-Mobile that gives you a free second number to help keep your primary number private. You can check your calls and listen to your messages in the DIGITS app. One free PROXY number per account.

Who is eligible to add a PROXY by DIGITS number?

PROXY is available to add to new and existing postpaid consumer and small business voice plans (up to 12 lines). Business accounts with 13+ lines are not eligible as the PROXY number leverages the DIGITS platform.

How do I get FREE PROXY by DIGITS number?

Eligible customers can visit a T-Mobile store or dial 611 from your T-Mobile device, and to speak to a mobile expert, who will add the PROXY by DIGITS service to your account and set it up. For setup instructions, visit our support page.

What is the Be ID Aware with McAfee for T-Mobile offer? What does it do?

ONE LINER: Be ID Aware is a new monitoring and identity alert service by McAfee for eligible T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile and Sprint customer. This 12-month service includes:  

  • Cyber Monitoring: Continuously scans online underground markets (including the Dark Web) and alerts when your personal info is at risk.
  • Full-service ID Restoration: Recover your identity with recovery specialists who can both guide you as well act on your behalf to navigate through the restoration process.
  • Lost Wallet: Offers step-by-step guidance from dedicated agents to help cancel and replace nearly anything – from credit cards & IDs to concert tickets.
  • Note: Available in English language only, in US only, and a valid email address required to enroll.

Who is eligible for Be ID Aware?

New and existing T-Mobile Small Business customers (up to 12 lines) on voice plans are eligible to receive a free twelve-month subscription to McAfee Identity Protection while supplies last between July 24th though August 31st, 2020.

  • T-Mobile Internet lines and T-Mobile for Business customers with 13 or more lines or Government customers are not eligible.
  • Sprint Business customers with 11 or more lines and Government customers are not eligible. 

How do I get my free 12-month subscription to the Be ID-aware with McAfee for T-Mobile offer?

Starting 7/24, T-Mobile eligible customers can request it online. Enter your valid email, phone number, and the code 2020MCAFEE. After we confirm your eligibility, you will receive an email from McAfee within 3 or 4 days with a link to complete your profile.

What if I already have a McAfee account/app, can I still get this offer?

Yes: if you already have a McAfee account, you can still take advantage of this offer starting 7/24.

  • The Be ID-aware with McAfee for T-Mobile offer is only available by signing up through our registration process and will require a valid email address that is different from what you're currently using on your McAfee account.  This offer is not available to be managed through the McAfee app, but can be managed through the McAfee web portal.
