How do I get this plan?
Visit a T-Mobile retail store or call 1-855-620-9071. Existing customers may call 611 from their mobile device. You’ll be asked to confirm your eligible military status after you complete activation.
Who is eligible for this plan?
Customers with eligible military status and their families, including active duty military, veterans, National Guard, Reserve, and Gold Star family members, are eligible for the Magenta Military for Business.
- A military member must be the primary account holder and the account must maintain a valid military line.
- T-Mobile for Business customers are eligible up to 12 lines; however, government accounts are not eligible.
No Credit Check and Prepaid customers are not eligible.
Will I automatically be enrolled in the Magenta Military for Business plan if I have eligible military status?
To enroll in Magenta Military for Business, visit a T-Mobile retail store or call 1-855-620-9071, change your rate plan to Magenta Military for Business, and verify your eligible military status.
How do I verify my eligible military status?
After activating or switching to Magenta Military for Business, you’ll need to verify your military status. Ensure that the military person or Gold Star family member is designated as the primary account holder. Then, visit a T-Mobile retail store and one of our retail experts will walk you through the process. If you're making the change by phone, verification can be completed at https://my.t-mobile.com/profile.
- The verification process typically takes less than 10 minutes. You will have 45 days from plan activation to verify your eligible military status or you will be moved to Magenta for Business rate plan with no military discount, which will result in a price increase.
- In some cases, you will be asked to upload documentation to verify your eligible military status.
Why does the military member need to be the primary account holder? What if they are deployed?
To verify that the military member is on the account, they must be the primary account holder. For active duty military members who are deployed, we will work with their spouse or family member to verify eligibility. Visit a T-Mobile retail store or call 1-855-620-9071 for assistance.
Do I need to submit documentation to verify my military status?
In some cases, you may be asked to provide additional details to verify your eligibility (T-Mobile for Business customers with account type "B"). If further information is required, you will be notified right away and will need to upload documents confirming your military status to complete your verification.
What documents will be accepted to verify military status?
We will accept any document that proves you are serving or have served with an honorable discharge and displays your first and last name, valid dates, and/or status (i.e. for example veteran or active duty members). T-Mobile will accept numerous forms of verification, but the most common documents are DD214 forms, Leave and Earnings Statements, and orders.
What happens if I don’t verify my eligible military status within 45 days?
You will be moved to a Magenta for Business rate plan and your bill will be adjusted to reflect the cost difference, which can be an additional cost of up to $20/line per month.
What do I do if my military status changes?
It will not affect your eligibility if your status changes. Magenta Military for Business Military is available to all military, veterans, National Guard, Reserve, and Gold Star family members.
May I still take advantage of Carrier Freedom®?
Yes, if you are switching to T-Mobile you may be eligible to be reimbursed for what you owe to your old carrier, up to $650 per line.
