A note about 3G devices and Internet usage

3G devices are optimized for use with T-Mobile’s high-speed 3G network, but many functions will also work well on our broader-coverage EDGE network. If you plan to harness the full power of the Internet on your laptop, our 3G network coverage may serve you best.

Check to see if 3G coverage is available in your area

Activities that work well on EDGE and 3G networks:

• Sending e-mail, text, and instant messages

• Downloading light data files

• Sending pictures via e-mail

Activities that work well on 3G networks:

• Viewing content-heavy Web sites (lots of images and videos)

• Viewing YouTube videos and other video files (they will play on EDGE, but require loading time)

• Uploading/downloading large files (photos, videos, etc.) to sharing Web sites

3G coverage is available only in certain markets. See coverage map for details. Data speed is variable and may be impacted by network conditions and traffic. Your data session, plan or service may be slowed, suspended, terminated or restricted if you use your service in a way that interferes with or impacts our network or ability to provide quality service to other users. We may also temporarily reduce data speed for a subset of customers who use a disproportionate amount of bandwidth during a billing cycle. You may not use your plan or device for the prohibited uses listed in your data plan terms. Data stick may not be shared in any manner, including use with a network or more than one computer or other device.
