Beginner to expert
This phone is good for any user from the beginning level to the expert. I have only come across 2-3 apps from the play store that do not run on this phone. Those were mostly apps that required root permissions so they were not written to support this phone. The settings on this phone are not as limiting as some of the other phones that I have seen.
All in all, its a very good phone that I would buy again, but I am going for the S4.

Excellent Phone!
Though the S3 is a better, newer version of this phone, the S2 is very powerful and even though, at the time of this writing, it's 2 years old, it's still better than the iPhone 5 in many respects. It runs Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2, and has the best feel in the had of any phone I've hand (even better than the S3). It's just the right size. I really loved this phone. I switched to an S3 almost a year ago, but I still miss the size of this phone. And since it's running Android 4.1.2, it's pretty modern (it just got updated to Android 4.1.2 and gained many of the Galaxy S3 features!).
This is an AWESOME smartphone if you can't afford the absolute latest and greatest. You can take off the back and replace the batter, expand the memory with a micro SD card. It's fast and just an all around awesome phone.

Best Phone Ever
I have had four phones in one year (we won't go into why) and I got this phone about seven months ago and it is awesome. Easy to use and the battery life is awesome. I left it unplugged over night and woke up and still had more than half my battery power left. The screen size is perfect, I don't have to squint to see the screen. The pictures it takes are so clear. Oh, this phone is awesome and I know once you learn how to use it... you will not want to give it up. It's a great phone. I Love My Phone.

Very Nice Phone!!!
I was torn between purchasing the S3 and the S2. My ultimate decision was the S2 and I don't have any regrets! Very light in weight, screen size is perfect and bright, the battery life is excellent... I can go on and on about this phone! My husband purchased the S3 about a month ago and is already having problems with it but my S2 is up and working great! I would recommend this phone to everyone!
