My favorite kid
This is by far the best TECHNOLOGY purchase I have ever made. As a phone, it's amazing. My laptop and tablet have collected dust since my purchase, as they are useless unless I need microsoft Office. I am in no way a techie and know nothing about phone specifications, heck I can't even tell you the system the phone has. ..I just know this phone knows what I need before I do. People comment on the size, but 1 minute after letting them look at it, as I don't let anyone touch it, they are filled with envy. Buy this phone, you will have no regrets. My wife got one too and she loves it as much as I do. Lastly, the battery life is awesome. Worth every penny.

Good Price vs Performance
I've had the Samsung Note II just shy of 1 month. At first, I cringed at the price. But after objective analysis, it turned out to be a bargain. I was thinking about buying a tablet, but I may not need one now. Besides, I can't see myself lugging one around like Moses!
I use this smartphone/mini-tablet in business and personally.
SCREEN - I picked this device because of the screen size - it is massive for a phone. I eBook a lot, and it is plenty good enough. The added benefit is I can hold it easily with one hand, unlike a bigger tablet or e-Reader. The text is sharp and crisp, and the graphics and color are simply brilliant. For its relatively large size, it is very slim, and fits easily in the front pocket of my Levis. Sometimes I panic because I forget it's in my pocket! I have a leatherette "portfolio case" for it, so I don't worry about scratching the screen.
BATTERY - 3+ Amps is a lot of capacity. I am a power user. I design websites, and I use the phone to check layout and functions all day long. I've watched 2 Netflix movies and watched some Youtube on a single charge, used it all day long, and still had 30% leftover by 10pm. Not bad at all. Better still, THE BATTERY IS REMOVABLE! I have two spare batteries, and I figure I can go 3 days unplugged. Now, that's impressive; I can't understand people whining about battery life. The 2A charger is more than adequate. As a digital/low voltage engineer, I surmise that it's not a great idea to charge/discharge Li-ion batteries too quickly - just ask Boeing, Tesla or Sony Laptop Div. There's a tendency to overheat.
CAMERA - Pictures are fabulous. Only wished it had a physical button I could press, like my old MotDroid2Global.
4G - You know, I can't honestly say I notice a big difference going from 3G to 4G. Marketing hype I think. I will say T-Mobile has excellent 4G coverage in Concord, CA. My previous carrier (the one that advertised the big, red map 2 years ago which worked on me) that rhymes with horizon was simply pathetic. I also know that when you order a half-liter glass of beer in Germany, you get 0.5L, no less. That's the way things ought to be. I'll let you connect the dots yourself.
PHONE FUNCTION - As with most smartphones, it leaves much to be desired. Flat as they are now, there's no room for a decent speaker. To be fair, it may be my own hearing acuity too. Speakerphone is good. Good quality headphones with volume control.
OS & SOFTWARE FUNCTION - Have not experienced a catastrophic failure requiring re-booting so far.
MOBILE HOT-SPOT - Works great; have not encountered any problems yet. I use this feature a lot. Does accelerate battery drain. Carry extra batteries like I do if you're going to use Mob Hot Spot.
