LG Optimus F3
Nice if you Only Want to do the Basics
This phone has been troublesome to me. I liked it at first but the issues begin shortly after ownership.
The phone is great for the basic user, text and talk and browse the web. Fairly updated version of Android so there are some benefits there.
If you like to download apps then don't get this phone. It has very little memory and you cannot move apps to the SD card. I've tried and it doesn't increase the available storage.
It has wifi and blu-tooth which is nice, however, I've experienced intermittent issues with the blu-tooth which can be annoying.
The loaded LG Keyboard deletes the second word you type when using Swype. Neither LG or T-Mobile find this to be a big deal.
The battery life isn't so great after about a week of using it. At first I was impressed and then the battery life started dying very quickly even with very little use of the phone.
After less than 2 months of ownership the phone stopped working and is stuck in an infinite loop.
This would be a great intro to Smartphones but not for the advanced user by any means. Even at the fairly low price it sells for compared to some others, it's not worth the money.

memory issue a major concern
I will try to keep it simple and to the point. We got this phone for a young family member and although she loves the phone, she is unable to download any apps as the internal memory is so low that simple things such as instagram can not be downloaded. You can not download apps to the sd card.
We did not get the windows phone due to lack of apps... but pretty much not being able to download them is the same thing. everything else is pretty solid and nice, maybe one or 2 android hick-ups here and there but nothing of to much annoyance.
Overall I can not recommend a phone that says it is a smart phone but lack the ability to download but only a handful of apps... otherwise it would have been a really good phone.

Woefully inadequate memory
While the Optimus F3 lists "4GB" memory, it is simply not true. There is 1.27 GB for the user. 1.27 GB is insufficient for anyone that wants to load apps and actually use the phone as a smart phone. You cannot load apps to the sd card so 1.27 GB is it. There are games that are bigger than that, so if you want to use this phone for anything other than very casual use, forget about it.
This phone also wants to Cache everything on that internal memory so even though I put my 4 GB of pictures on the sd card, there as a 100MB file of thumbnails for the gallery on internal. So even though my pictures were on the external sd card, 1/12 of my internal storage was wasted on a cache on internal memory.
In addition, this phone does NOT have android 4.2. It has android 4.1.2. While the difference may see trivial, android 4.1.2 has had a broken paid launcher and keyboard problem for almost two years and has media scanner problems.
It is a pity because the phone is solidly built, the battery life is fantastic but the lack of memory, poorly utilized memory and persistent android 4.1.2 bugs make this a no buy. I am taking mine back to the store I am so disappointed.
