No. Your T-Mobile phone will allow you to make calls from the U.S. to any country, however, per minute calling rates can vary by country. All you need to do is dial "+" followed by the country code, city code, and local number. If you plan to make frequent international calls, we would recommend you add our Stateside International Talk service, which offers unlimited international calling to over 70 countries and destinations starting at $10/month. If you’re on our new Simple Choice North America rate plan (launched on 7/15/15), the $10 and $15 stateside options will both work from Canada and Mexico, just like in the U.S.

Yes, you can also use a prepaid calling card to call another country using your T-Mobile phone.
