IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE REGARDING THE RETIREMENT OF THE T-MOBILE 3G (UMTS) NETWORK AND SUSPENSION OF PREPAID SERVICE AFTER JULY 1, 2022

We’re continuing to work to deliver a transformative 5G network experience from big cities to small towns and virtually everywhere in between. As part of our efforts to create a supercharged network, we’re retiring the older T-Mobile 3G (UMTS) network to free up resources and spectrum that will help us strengthen our entire network and move all customers to more advanced technologies like 4G & 5G. As a valued customer, we are providing you formal notice that T-Mobile is retiring the 3G network on July 1, 2022. Any prepaid Service line with a device that relies on 3G wireless service may be SUSPENDED after July 5, 2022, if the device is not upgraded or replaced or if the device software is not current, for applicable devices.

Prepaid Service lines that are suspended will no longer be able to access the network and will no longer be able to make voice calls, access data service, send or receive text messages or utilize other network services, including the ability to make 911 calls depending on location. Also, if line(s) on your account are suspended, you will be in jeopardy of losing discounted pricing. You will have 90 days from suspension to contact us to resume your prepaid Service and upgrade or replace your device.  If you do not contact us within that time, your impacted prepaid Service line(s) will be cancelled, and you will lose the accompanying phone number(s).

We want to make this as easy as possible and provide all the information we can. As a customer with one or more 3G-dependent phones, we’re providing this notification to allow you time to upgrade or replace your devices and take advantage of T-Mobile’s bigger, better 4G & 5G networks. We want to make this transition as easy as possible, but you’ll need to upgrade or replace your phone or update your device software, for applicable devices , to continue getting service, including the ability to make 911 calls depending on your location.

Please take action now to avoid suspension of your prepaid Service line(s) after the 3G network retires on July 1, 2022, and make the move to take advantage of T-Mobile’s advanced network technologies, including the largest and fastest nationwide 5G network.
